Strip searches are nothing new since 9/11.

In 2003 I was on my way back to Los Angeles from Rome, and I had a layover in Zurich, Switzerland, and I was strip searched during my layover in Zurich. Three airport security people in Zurich pulled me into a back room and they made me take my clothes off, all the way naked. I was so embarrassed, and humiliated. I will never go to Zurich again. When I do a layover in Paris, France, they do not even check my passport, from now on I will do my layovers in Paris.

Anyhow, yes, making a woman take her bra off seems like they are taking it a bit too far, it is a humiliating experience even for a man to get strip searched.

On the issue of programs to help people...

In Anaheim the people own the electric company, and then Anaheim uses some of the money earned from the electric company to run programs for the people, such as helping the homeless, etc, so when people pay their electric bills they inadvertently help the homeless people.

There are many healthy ways to generate power too, there are wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, etc, and you can even generate power from water flowing through pipes.

Link...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vpubi1GjoBE

Anaheim has a lot of money coming in, and some of the money is being used to help the homeless people.

The Anaheim Resort District is only five percent of Anaheim's land, but generates almost fifty percent of Anaheim's general fund revenue.

And the Platinum Triangle will generate more and more income for Anaheim's general fund as the project grows and prospers.

Also, Anaheim owns Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center, and the Anaheim Convention Center, etc, etc, etc.

Link to how much Anaheim earns just from the Resort District...

http://soaranaheim.com/about-soar/

And then once the high speed trains are built, and are up and running, then this place will really hum.

As Australia converts to solar power, and to other forms of clean energy, the people need to own the electric companies, those need to be owned by the cities, etc, and also people can own their own solar panels and stuff to have cheaper electricity. The same with Puerto Rico, as they rebuild with clean energy then the electric companies need to be owned by the people.

I will post this again for anyone who missed it when I posted it previously...

We must always come from a place of abundance.

In leadership training they told me to always come from a place of abundance, as opposed to scarcity. We can easily grow enough food to feed everyone on earth if we come from a place of abundance, as opposed to letting them starve as we come from a place of scarcity. And sometimes the way to improve things is to think big, even when times are hard and we are tempted to say that we cannot because of poverty. We can live in a world of abundance, and unlimited opportunity, or we can live in a world of scarcity where it just continues to get worse. And with leaders, say for a company, they want people who will make the company grow and prosper, not people who will keep downsizing it until it does not exist anymore. People want leaders who improve things, not make things worse.

With the bad economy, and with the giant debt of the United States, it would be so easy for everyone to downsize everything out of existence, which would only make things worse, at a time when we need to do the opposite and grow and prosper and improve things instead. A great depression is as much a state of mind as it is a reality, we cannot fall into that state of mind and we must avoid that reality.

We must come from a world of abundance and unlimited opportunity, and grow and prosper, and improve things, we must be creative in good ways and we must think big, and every problem creates an opportunity for people to solve the problems, and where there is room for improvement there is opportunity for people to improve things, etc etc etc.

I read that fewer people are willing to get student loans because they are afraid they will not be able to pay them off, and they are afraid to accrue the debt for an education, and that is totally the wrong way for them to be thinking right now, and at this time the USA needs to have a better educated and better trained population, and there will be plenty of opportunity for good educated people to solve problems and improve things after they receive an education. In my opinion the people of the United States need to enter college at higher numbers, not lower. Things are not going to get better if we have a lesser educated population, that is going in the wrong direction, we need a higher educated population instead. So we need to get them thinking from a place of abundance, so that we can achieve abundance, and a better economy and a better world.

And the whole thing with the debt of the United States could be solved if we come from a place of abundance. Much of the land of the United States is government owned land, we are talking abundance, and some of that land could be sold to private people, and that alone would pay off much of the government debt. The government can also make money with gas and oil leases at a time when gas and oil are at all time high prices, and drilling for natural gas and oil in the USA would be a good thing for many reasons. And that would help reduce the debt. Also, gold is at an all time high price right now, and there is gold on much of the government owned land, along with other precious metals. And that would help reduce the debt. If we come from a place of abundance then we can reduce the debt easily. Then, we monitor the spending of the government better in the future so that we can pass down surpluses to future generations instead of deficits.

Bambu,

It does not have to be "either" or "or," as we can have it all, we can do everything at once. We can help the homeless people, and we can make our new immigrants legal, and we can have a Good Neighbor policy with our neighbors, and we can improve and grow our economy at the same time. And, we can all have health care.

The rest of the USA can learn a lot from Orange County, California, some really good things are happening in Orange County. And it will only get better.

The USA will bounce back, things will get better. And the USA will always be a safe spot for people from Venezuela, etc.

Thank you to those with positive posts.

And right now Orange County is dealing with a huge issue of clearing the river trail of homeless people. Around one thousand homeless people are being made to pack up and move...

https://www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/Homeless-Encampment-Clear-Orange-County-Sheriffs-470533523.html

Luckily Orange County has been active, so people are ready to help those in need. Programs are in place to help people.

Here is a link for some information on programs which Anaheim is doing to help the homeless people...

http://anaheim.net/2374/Addressing-Homelessness

It is all about helping the people to improve their lives and fulfill potential. The homeless people who wish to participate will be taken to shelters, and to places such as MHA in Santa Ana, and they will have access to showers, and laundry facilities, and they will be fed, and they will have access to medical care, and they can get signed up for their benefits, and they can receive aid, etc. Many people who are homeless now will go to work helping other homeless people, many former homeless people will become social workers, etc, and some of the people who are homeless now might become doctors. I know a lady who was a hooker on heroin, and now she is clean, and she is an oncologist. The formerly homeless people can also become shelter managers, and psychologists, and psychiatrists, and nurses, and pharmacists, etc. Many people who are having problems now can be helped, and many people who are being helped now will help other people in the future.

Instead of just making the people move, Orange County actually cares about the people, and Orange County will help the people who want help.

And people who want bus tickets to someplace where they can get help will be given free bus tickets, so they can join family members in other places, etc.

Homelessness is a big issue, with fifty eight thousand homeless people in Los Angeles County, and also homeless people in San Diego, Orange County, San Francisco, and other parts of California. And helping the homeless with help and getting the homeless into housing and employment, etc, will be a big part of what Antonio Villaraigosa needs to fight for, along with stopping the wall, and fighting for a Good Neighbor policy with our good Christian neighbors, and fighting for a good plan for immigrants from our good neighboring countries, etc.

And everyone in Orange County is already covered on health care, with Cal Optima, etc. My Doctor said that the entire USA needs to simply copy Orange County, California, on health care.

https://caloptima.org/

Here is an old thread on the New York Topix forum pertaining to Health Care...

http://www.topix.com/forum/nyc/T2RU1RLCUQISPE9EE

Villaraigosa also needs to help to bring the automobile industry back to Van Nuys, and he needs to support our high speed trains, including the high speed train between Anaheim and Las Vegas.

Trump approves tariffs on foreign solar panels

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-approves-tariffs-solar-panels/

-----------------------

Why solar panels? Why not cell phones and computers?

I support tariffs on artificially low priced communist slave goods from China, but it should be done on everything, not just solar panels and washing machines.

And we need to support a labor movement in China the same way that we supported Solidarity in Poland, and we need to support fair pay for workers in China, and good human rights and democracy.

I am a Republican, I have always been a Republican, but Trump has turned me into a Democrat. And Trump will have the Latinos supporting the Democrats for the next two hundred years. President Reagan was a real Republican, and Reagan made the immigrants legal, and Reagan did NOT build a wall. George W. Bush was a good Republican, and W. did not build a wall, and Jeb Bush married a Mexican lady. Trump not only does not support Republican values, but Trump also does not support American values.

I will be supporting Antonio R. Villaraigosa for Governor here in California, and I will be supporting good American values. Trump does not represent good American values.

I am all for low taxes, and I support a good economy with lots of jobs, but I do not support building walls on our borders, and I do not support making the Latinos out to be villains. We need to have a Good Neighbor policy with our good Christian neighbors here in the Western Hemisphere, and we do not need any walls.

NO WALLS!

Antonio Villaraigosa is running for Governor of California. I hope that he has the fortitude to stand up against Trump on issues such as the wall and immigration. I also hope that he has the ability to dream for a better future for California. We also need to help the homeless, and get people into housing and employment. And we need to build our high speed trains, which will help attract more tourism.

One reason why Anaheim has a great economy compared to many other areas, is that Anaheim has Disneyland and tourism...

The Anaheim Resort District by the Numbers:

5% of the city’s land, the Anaheim Resort District generates more than 50% of the city’s tax revenue

$77 million in tax revenue for Anaheim in 2009—the Resort District’s visitors help fund vital services like police and fire protection

160,000 jobs directly and indirectly supported by the tourism industry in Orange County

106 businesses provide millions of dollars to maintain landscaping and beautification in the Anaheim Resort District

17.6 million visitors from around the world come to Anaheim—helping contribute to our city’s tax base

$7.1 billion was spent in Orange County by 42.7 million domestic and international travelers in 2009

The 6th largest convention destination in the nation, the Anaheim Convention Center also helps to attract $938 million of spending in Orange County

Link...

http://soaranaheim.com/about-soar/

Anaheim benefits greatly from tourism, and so does Hollywood, California, and tourism is good for our state. Building our high speed trains in California will help California to attract more tourism, and we need to support the high speed train project.

And we need to keep California clean, and open for business.

Tourism is a welcome part of the economy in California, and we need to do things which will increase tourism such as building our high speed trains.

"Message In A Bottle"

Just a castaway
An island lost at sea
Another lonely day
With no one here but me
More loneliness
Than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
(Message in a bottle)

A year has passed since I wrote my note
But I should have known this right from the start
Only hope can keep me together
Love can mend your life
But love can break your heart

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
(Message in a bottle
Oh, message in a bottle
Message in a bottle)

Walked out this morning
Don't believe what I saw
A hundred billion bottles
Washed up on the shore
Seems I'm not alone at being alone
A hundred billion castaways
Looking for a home

I'll send an SOS to the world
I'll send an SOS to the world
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle
(Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle
Message in a bottle)

Sending out an SOS...

L.A. County homelessness jumps a 'staggering' 23% as need far outpaces housing, new count shows

http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-homeless-count-20170530-story.html

----------------

There are somewhere around fifty eight thousand homeless people in Los Angeles County right now, we have very high numbers of homeless people. Plus, there are homeless people in other parts of California, such as in Orange County, San Francisco, and San Diego, etc. We need to get these people off the streets and into housing, and into employment, etc, and the children need to be in school, etc.

We need to create jobs in California, and there needs to be employment for all levels of workers, including those with prison records. Jobs such as manufacturing automobiles in Van Nuys, those are good union jobs, and even the janitor is union and gets paid fair. And we need to bring the film jobs back to Hollywood. Etc etc etc. There is a lot that can happen if we work hard in good ways.

We need to get the homeless people off of the streets and into housing and employment.

And there needs to be programs to teach job skills to people in prison, such as teaching the women how to groom dogs, they can earn fifty thousand dollars per year as a dog groomer, and then they can teach the men how to be cooks, and how to make pizza, etc, so they can find jobs when they get out of prison.

And programs such as Homeboy Industries are good programs, we need more programs like Homeboy Industries.

Link...

https://www.homeboyindustries.org/

We must improve the situation. Records on Wall Street do not mean anything if some of our people are homeless. An improved economy needs to translate into good jobs for our people, and needs to translate into a better economy here at home.

On the issue of Skid Row in Los Angeles, it is over, it was a horrible place, and it is great that it is ending.

The Chinese are building in Skid Row, and it is sad that we Americans did not end Skid Row on our own, it sucks that we allowed Skid Row to exist.

Link...

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-0825-china-dtla-snap-story.html

A good Christian country such as the USA should not allow places such as Skid Row in Los Angeles to exist. We have Matthew 25: 31-46 telling us to help the poor and the needy, and being a Christian is all about loving our neighbors. It is shameful that we have preachers who live in multi million dollar mansions while we have homeless people out there on the streets.

But, finally the Chinese are coming in to redevelop Skid Row and to build there.

We need to support every effort to redevelop and improve that area and to help the people. Skid Row is a disgrace, and it must end.

Ivanka Trump - Thank you to the Canada-United States Council for Advancement of Women Entrepreneurs and Business Leaders for your recommendations on supporting and growing women-owned businesses. Here is what I wrote to her....

Me - Why wasn't Mexico invited?

I have lived my whole life in California, down by the border with Mexico, I live one hundred miles from the border with Mexico right now, and I am here to tell you that Mexicans are great people, they really are. Mexico needs to be invited. And Mexico needs a baseball team, like the Montreal Expos and the Toronto Blue Jays, Canada had two baseball teams.

And when you get a chance, come visit California. Come to San Diego, right on the Border with Mexico, and see how nice it is. Visit a golf course, watch the horse races at Del Mar, and talk with the people, etc. Mexicans are great, and it is nice in San Diego on the border with Mexico. California also has the best Mexican food.

Invite Mexico to join in.

The cowboys in the USA used windmills to pump water, and they saved the water in little ponds, and then they used the water from the ponds to irrigate their food gardens, etc.

Link...

http://www.backwoodshome.com/water-pumping-windmills/

Also, water systems are easy to do. I worked for the Burbank YMCA at a summer camp in the Tehachapi mountains, and I was in charge of the water system. It depends on the area how you go about building a water system, no child should ever go without clean water to drink. And people can even take showers. Water should be cheap and plentiful.

The USA was built by many different people from many different cultures, who all came together as one, "E Pluribus Unum."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_pluribus_unum

And our multiculturalism is a part of our strength here in the USA.

And immigration is a great part of what America is all about.

The American Dream is when that little kid in Sicily dreams of opening a restaurant in New York City, and then grows up and achieves his dream.

The USA was built on multiculturalism, with the knowledge that all of us are created equal by God our creator with unalienable rights.
