Not one person here, ever, has followed Red's "you might" pedagogy. He's a terrible, uninspiring teacher who should be posting elsewhere.
If you parse YankGuy’s words my presence here is more than justifiable, it is necessary.

The voters ARE deciding

No, Kid.

The voters have decided.
What have they decided.?
Despite winning more votes in the Presidential tally, and more cumulative votes in a house elections, the democrats LOST representation in Congress and also in state governments.
You might want to review the definition of Federalism or even learn what it means.

The republican senators said let the voters decide what happens to the President.
I’m sure you were trying to say something

What’s an Emmy Award worth anymore if Andrew  Cuomo  gets one for killing old people on New York.

No, Kid.

The voters have decided. Past tense.

Now, the out-going president is trying an end-around to void their votes and substitute the state legislatures' decisions. It sounds as if this will be yet another waste of time, costing citizens in a variety of ways.

The electors will be chosen as intended rather than how Trump wishes it to happen.

I am asking Larry for further clarification on his post.

And?  means what is your point.

They said let the voters decide.  What has changed?

Like he said, stop trolling.

You know what has changed.

Behavior has its consequences

Every County Sheriff in L.A. Region Declines to Enforce Gavin Newsom’s Coronavirus Curfew

Behavior has consequences - the real point:
"Coronavirus cases and deaths continue sharp increase in some sections of LA County."
Whooosh!!! That ever humiliating sound going over your head.

Mixed metaphor much?
Hardly. Look up metaphor.
Quote

So, instead, your point is that the sheriffs are refusing to enforce the law and you support this.

So surprising.

What law?

Cohorts!!!!!
The Collins Dictionary is my preferred one, though hardly an outlier on common words that even teenagers regularly use.

Gotta admit,  a part of me hoped that "Trump Administration" thread would be a sleepy little backwater by now.   And we'd be in a Biden thread, arguing matters like carbon credits,  assault weapons bans,  Medicaid expansions down to age 60, and pathways for Puerto Rican statehood.  Ha.   Nope,  we're still roasting in demagogue Hell.
Two problems.
None of your cohorts in here have a clue about issues beyond hating Trump.
Second, and more important, the next Congress won’t have the democrat votes to advance any of those you listed.

Wayne County and Detroit may prove to be tough sledding for Trump to find enough ‘irregularities’ to do anything more than waste time.

As the virus rages unabated across the land the President and his crew are wasting time wh8ning about an election they already lost.

Note the clerical abnormalities are most prevalent in essentially white Livonia. But the Trump zombies are.only concerned with Detroit.
Call it the Gore Syndrome

So. The only elementary school students learning IN a school classroom these days in New York City attend private, Catholic, or Charter schools. If you are a public school student  you are subject to at-home learning.

The party of science has suddenly decided not to follow the science,” New York City assemblyman Joseph Borelli told Fox News. "The harm this is doing to children is going to be irreparable.”

Even the New York Times admits Trump was right and democrats are wrong on this issue.

Some things are true even though President Trump says them," Columnist Nicholas Kristof began. "Trump has been demanding for months that schools reopen, and on that he seems to have been largely right. Schools, especially elementary schools, do not appear to have been major sources of coronavirus transmission, and remote learning is proving to be a catastrophe for many low-income children."

"Yet America is shutting schools — New York City announced Wednesday that it was closing schools in the nation’s largest school district — even as it allows businesses like restaurants and bars to operate. What are our priorities?" Kristof asked, later insisting shutting down schools "should be the last resort."

Sad.
Sadder too is we can expect Biden to revert back to the democrat coddling of teachers’ unions. Not a good sign for public education.
