I like Kanter's team spirit and toughness but when you are 21-25 and on the outside of the playoffs looking in, you look like a fucking fool trolling LBJ and the Cavs on twitter and mocking them

Meanwhile Melo and his mates are crushing the Cavaliers. They could score 150 points before its over.

2 games in a row Celts spanked by a dominant big.

Watched about a qtr and all i can say is Embiid is a fucking monster

When he fills out he's going to be a force.

Typical naysaying by Bank

"Embiid is a monster"

- "WHEN HE FILLS OUT, he's going to be........"

No, idiot - he IS.  Just let the guy's post breathe.

Yeah banky - let me breathe...you know my posts need time to excite the senses like a bottle of '96 chateau margaux

heh

Merci you know I love ya, but to borrow a line (from Monty Python), you more bring to mind

"a prize winning 'Cuiver Reserve Chateau Bottled Nuit San Wogga Wogga', which has a bouquet like an aborigine's armpit."

for the MPFC routine (SFW)

its hilarious

Yes! Now I feel more comfortable

Love the effort last night

amazing to me that you can say this...Griz are bottom feeders in this league, play under .500 at home and were without Gasol and yet, you love our effort for what, coming back to make it a close game?

I recall 43 wins from you. Either you hold them to a higher standard or understand we need major improvement in personnel or coaching. Can't have it both ways.

Or maturity.

Fair enough...but 43 wins is a pipe dream --- and the playoffs only beckon if we back in due to the futility of others

Lance is one of my absolute least favorite players.

Wow - Les and I can break bread again.

 This team sucks.

Shocked

Cavaliers are 10-12 against teams over the .500 mark...and 11-12 on the road.

The likelihood that they boogie through the East like a force of nature, a notion promulgated with Biblical certitude by The Prophet Nagel, seems, well, unlikely, though any team with LeBron James will be in the hunt.

But right now, Boston and Toronto look like the pick of the litter in the East, with teams in the 3-10 spots jockeying for sloppy seconds.  We know about the Celtics, but hey, the Raptors are tough and well coached, with DeRozan having a career year.

I'm not sure who will give the Celts some credit first, Nagel or TNT's Round Mound of Repeating himself.

I think the Celtics are a year or 2 away from winning the cup. Cavs will resurface with their winning pedigree --- but it doesn't matter much anyway. Cup will remain in the West.

Probably. I didn't figure them for the Finals this year.

Except for 1 (or 2) big maybes.

Their D is real, and if they can bring it consistently in a 7 game series they can beat anyone.

Particularly if the west teams beat each other up, (a reverse 80s scenario when Showtime glided to the Finals) and a young Celts (and they are young) have the legs to pull an upset.

The 2nd big maybe is a maybe Gordon Hayward shows up in May.

counting on the D showing up more than Gordo.

Hey banky, as much as i despise your Celtics, I would generally like to see the championship reign in the Atlantic if possible, so I'm pulling for the C's or Raps.

Lance's brain in MB's body? Surely you can find a better transplant patient than Lance. I'll give you that he makes his defensive presence felt on most nights, but he's no rocket scientist on the floor. More blunders from him than most.

That was sadder than McKinley's Funeral.

Even the horses cried.

PPS: Hope for the best....expect the worst.

Yikes.

Lord I hate when its gotten to the point where even your spirit is crushed.

He needed to rest KP when I mentioned it. Because he didn’t, KP was tired and ineffective in the 4th when we needed him most.

Well then KP needs to grow a set of balls and man the fuck up. This is his 3rd year.
15  Sports / Basketball / Re: Knicks on: January 14, 2018, 06:38:10 PM
Those of you that have been believing in this team for the last several weeks have been blind. The signs have all been there. Giving up huge leads, not competing in the 4th quarter, tremendous defensive lapses.... I saw that we got away with some of these things early in the season but it's come back to haunt us now.

Now the one thing we counted on, home court advantage, has burned to the ground.

Trouble ahead.
