Why are the kids winning in these lawsuits - not just in the US?

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-climate-change-permafrost-idUSKCN1TJ1XN

The Canadian permafrost is melting far earlie than anybody projected.

Here's an idea...what about Al Gore stops flying around the world [oh all those carbon emissions] lecturing on climate change.
Also, the school kiddy climate change protesters be banned from having heaters, airconditioners, dryers, hair dryers, gas-guzzling cars driving them to school, phone battery chargers, flying off/being driven on holidays etc etc etc.
...for starters.
Then we old folks might join the choir.

Your bullshit is no less stinky than Kiiid's.

Why not make your decision on the merits, rather than based on Al Gore's travel? Oh, wait - it's because Al Goe's travel is just a convenient rock to throw, not something that really influences you.

It's like when the liberals propose spending money on something and the GOP comes back with "but what about all the homeless people?" They don't care about the homeless, just the scoreboard. "Gotcha!" they cry out.

Al Gore preaches...in Brisbane, Queensland state, Australia recently;

Al Gore warns India won’t want to buy coal from Carmichael mine

Former US vice president Al Gore says Queensland could be left with a multibillion-dollar “hole in the ground” as the Adani mine edges closer to approval.

During a two-hour power point presentation, Mr Gore spoke about India’s “new electricity generated capacity”, stating 65 per cent of which came from solar and wind in 2018.
He also said 225GW of solar was under construction in India.

“They’re not gonna continue with coal,” he said.
“You wanna sell coal to India, good luck.”

“Financial institutions, a lot of them have announced they’re not going finance this anymore,” Mr Gore said.
“That’s one of the reasons why not a single global financial institution after doing the financial analysis would put any money up for the Adani mine.

“Not a single one of them.
“That’s why it looks like none of the insurance companies will do it either.

“But again, it’s not for me to get into this.
“In the US, we’ve been down this road and may I just say this is nuts.”

#####

What's nuts is thinking that India can be powered without coal-fired power stations, now.
Or that Australia can be powered by renewables, now.

Aussie does want to sell coal to India...and Mr Adani wants to buy it.

What Al doesn't understand is..."Everything is political".

The federal Labor party leftist Opposition, who thought it was going to romp to power at the recent federal election, a la HRC in 2016...got its butt kicked in Qld state.
Qld Premier, the lovely Leftist Labor Anastasia, was against "Adani" [coal mine] before the election...but after having seen what the voters in Qld thought of 'climate change' and its devotees in the federal election, and she facing a state election next year...rushed to approve the mine.
'Adani'... approved.
On my tv were shown people in poor parts of India switching on tv sets etc, having electricity for the first time...thanks to coal.

Anyway, if the mine doesn't work out...Aussie will use the coal for himself [who cares about the gender war].
Appears federal govt will be building one or two coal-fired power stations in Australia...it's what Conservative voters want.

We have laws for immigration control that the president alone does not have the power to change.

He is a lawless creepy fuck so this is exactly the type of idiotic misery inducing move he tends to make and that the lower invertebrates with internet access tend to applaud.

That said, if they send some Aussies back to the decaying hellscape that spawned them I won’t be too broken up about it.

Immigrant rights are human rights. Australian rights are conditional on good behavior.

Good behaviour...passing all the tests, and being in possession of a correct visa;

https://www.watoday.com.au/national/western-australia/perth-grandmother-faces-deportation-despite-living-in-australia-for-over-a-decade-20190606-p51vcd.html

A grandmother who has lived in Australia for over a decade with her family has been threatened with deportation back to her home country.

Mollie Manley, 93, moved to Perth from Somerset in the United Kingdom 11 years ago so she could be with her family, which included her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ms Manley was allowed into the country on a temporary bridging visa while her aged-parent visa was processed.
At the time of her application, which can sometimes take a number of years to be completed and accepted, she had passed all relevant medical tests.

However in recent years, Ms Manley became blind and is now living in an aged-care facility.
As a result, the Australian migration authorities deemed she was “too much of a burden” on the national healthcare system to be granted a visa.

They formally denied her visa earlier this year, but her family have not informed the 93-year-old of the decision.
Her family members told Nine News Perth it would be a mistake to deport the elderly woman, as she has no remaining family in the UK.

“She has no family in the UK whatsoever, her husband died in the 1980s and she was living alone in the UK. If she goes back, she will have no family support,” son-in-law Robert Rowe said.
“She’s 93, it’s unlikely that she is going to live in her present state for very long ... we’re just asking them to show a bit of compassion and allow her to stay and live out her life.”

Who wants seriously criminal immigrants staying in their country after their prison sentences have been completed?
Not many...so back from whence they came they go.

Trump vows mass immigration arrests, removals of ‘millions of illegal aliens’ starting next week

President Trump said in a tweet Monday night that U.S. immigration agents are planning to make mass arrests starting “next week,” an apparent reference to a plan in preparation for months that aims to round up thousands of migrant parents and children in a blitz operation across major U.S. cities.

“Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States,” Trump wrote, referring to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. “They will be removed as fast as they come in.”

Yes, 'turn back the boats'...or in this case people without boats.

It's the only way...to have an immigration system with integrity.

The US govt must be deciding "who comes to this country"...and "the manner in which they come".

Ya don’t say?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/11/us/missouri-traffic-stops-black-drivers-trnd/index.html

"Using stops as a policing tool for crime prevention needs to cease," Pruitt said. "The fact that somebody is driving in a particular area, and a police officer feels that that person or individuals are out of place -- that, in itself, should not justify them impeding or intruding on their lives by stopping them and searching their vehicle."

#####

Why not?
Crime prevention.

The report also looked at data on arrests and searches during vehicle stops. About 6.37% of the stops of blacks and 6.26% of the stops of Hispanics resulted in arrest, compared with about 4.25% of the stops of whites, the report said.

In which you demonstrate your insistance on ignorance.

Police arrest more Blacks and more Hispanics for equivalent situations. Prosecutors charge more of them with crimes. Judges sentence them to 19% longer sentences for equivalent crimes and histories.

No, Bambi-ignorance, it is not about crime prevention. It's about driving while Black.

Let's take an obvious example;

White middle class area...2am, carful of young Black males cruising around, not looking like they're going anywhere in particular.
You don't want the cops to investigate?

Of course, they could be going home after a concert to the grandmother's home of the guy in the middle of the back seat...at her insistence...to all stay the night....'safe driving'/'safe arrival home'.
Or they could be up to no good.

"Good evening driver, you're out late tonite, may I see your licence and registration please".
Nothing wrong with that.
Let them tell the cops [should always be two in a patrol car] where they're going and what they're doing.

World's biggest, and most powerful naval forces.

1. North Korea
2. China
3. USA
36. UK...'everyone' has a bigger and more powerful navy that Britain...well except Australia, it's not even on the chart.
Exactly why Australia must get nukes, in a hurry.

Shifting from one liar (Ward) to another (Trump):

https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/06/05/donald-trump-properties-false-royals-claims-kfile-sot-vpx.cnn

No wonder the Queen was wearing the brooch that Obama gave her when she met Trump. She has to be beside herself over the need to spend time behaving diplomatically to this guy who has used her family's name for his personal financial gain.

She'd be used to it by now.
She had to meet with IRA 'boss' when travelling to Ireland to lend them money in recent times.
Had to host Mugabe for a visit.
Hosted Japan's emperor a while ago...toured around in a carriage with him.
Bad idea...veterans/etc turned their backs as the carriage passed by.

She might be Queen...but she needs to remember who the 'king of the world' is when dealing with Mr Trump.

Mr Trump, democratically elected by the American people to be 'king of the world'.

The science...there is climate change.
True.
The climate is always changing, Ice Ages come and go, glaciers started melting 15,000 years ago.
Long ago sea levels rose, and flooded the land bridge between Australia and India.

Sydney's dam is down to 50% capacity...water restrictions have been introduced.

No1 radio host has been telling the politicians for decades to build more dams....did they listen?   no.
Wouldn't surprise me if this time Sydney does run out of water.

Building more dams would not have alleviated this problem, but... why bother talking to somebody who thinks this rising heat is like the others and has decided that if the seas are going to rise we should just let everybody die and our world to fall apart.

Given that you see nothing wrong with the US government killing kids, I guess I should not be surprised.

If it is, the US govt should not be killing kids.
If the seas rise, then everybody should be moved to higher ground.
The world is falling apart now...overpopulation.

Building more dams would have alleviated the problem in Sydney...it always rains eventually.
Plenty of rain, dim-witted politicians never harvest any of it [besides in the existing dams]... had 3 inches of rain this week...bye bye, all went to the sea.

Methinks that some Britons, no ideas, are protesting Trump the man, rather than any dislike of America/ns.
Still, they should be treating the office of the President of the United States of America, and the person who holds that office...with a lot more respect.

Pity Trump will not be touring Australia...he would likely get a different perspective if he actually visited here.

Mass shooting in Darwin yesterday...man with pump-action shotgun..."tattooed ex-con", 'links to outlaw motorcycle gangs', moved around the streets shooting up motels and shooting people dead in businesses.
4 men dead, one woman wounded.

Wouldn't have had a licence for that gun...only licences for farmers, professional pest eradicators etc.
Suggestions are he maybe got it via his bikie buddies.

Take away the semi-auto weapons in America...good idea...'only' the good people will surrender them, though.

Bet the school shooting deputy wishes he'd never heard of the police force, let alone joined it.
Ice cream vendor in main st ...and his life in retirement would've been just lovely.
