So if Warp Speed is helpful in distributing an approved vaccine, and getting it to people in an efficient manner, I imagine Biden would be full-speed ahead on Warp Speed.

Helpful?

You're funny, Pete.

Kid- You'll have to share Warp Speed's data and findings as I haven't seen any and the General interviewd on 60 Minutes who is running Op Warp Speed was tight-lipped about specfics.

If the government is better able to distribute a vaccine than big pharma's infrastructure is, great. WARP DRIVE Mr. Spock!

But remember we're talking about an inept admin who mistoook and booked a gardening center instead of a 4-Season luxury hotel.

speaking of Joe

WASHINGTON -- The Washington Nationals are making their pitch to President-elect Joe Biden. The Nats have invited Biden to toss out the ceremonial first ball next season on Opening Day. Washington is scheduled to host the New York Mets at Nationals Park on April 1.

William Howard Taft began the tradition of presidents throwing out the first pitch in Washington in 1910. Since then, every sitting president except Donald Trump has thrown out a first pitch when Washington had a major league franchise.

Every president but Trump...

that was the tell the guy is anti-American and has no feel for this country..

Nice piece tonight by 60 Minutes re::  Operation Warp Speed.  Just a phenomenal undertaking by Trump's administration.

Of course Joe may have the option to blow it all up if he wishes.  I doubt he is that stupid.

Unlike the moron currently in the WH, Biden has made it clear science will guide him in covid-policy.

So if Warp Speed is helpful in distributing an approved vaccine, and getting it to people in an efficient manner, I imagine Biden would be full-speed ahead on Warp Speed.

I also understand that Mr Spock and Dr. Bones McCoy will be special advisors.

btw, there was also a nice piece on Ken Burns and his body of docs examining what makes America, America.

kid's holding out hope that a massive well-financed voting scandal will be uncovered that a conspiracy of more than 75 million American voters stole the election.

AOC's lane is the passing lane.

She's a Ferrari

She's smart, a quick learner, has a lot of energy, photogenic and has knows how to communicate.

She could probably be a Dem-leader in the House for years from her NYC-liberal Dem base.

And be a strong voice in a strong position to push for progressive policy.

But I do wonder whether right now if she's too left for upstate NY voters to run for a Senate seat (Gillibrand in 6 years or Schumer in 8 year)

But she's smart she'll figure it out.

The message was conciliatory and lets work together with respect and decency.

Trump washed his hands of covid months ago, and evaded all resposibility for it, nor attempted to control it as it ran through the US. And to his robotic supporters there was no plague.

But times change.

I expect kid to start referring to covid as the Bidemic.

Trump got the news while playing at his golf club in Sterling, VA.

Karma for the guy who bitched about Obama playing while President.

He will never concede.

As he was hacking away on the course, he was heard to mutter, "STOP THE COUNT!"

Jake Tapper, ''... and Kamala Harris will become Vice-President elect, its probably a good time for Republicans to learn how to pronounce her name".

I laughed

Laugh some more

Its about respect.

and Repubs insisted upon disrespecting a woman of color.

It was disgusting.

I understand you do not understand basic decency.

I'd like to see Biden begin his presidency-elect by talking up what needs to be done to deal with the Virus and what policies he will implement
and try to get more Americans to start enacting them now, while preparing folks for what is necessary and is to come.

Biden and the DEMS also need to talk about how bad GOP policies not only led to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary and preventable deaths,
but also the corrosive effects of dark money on politicos, and gun rights out of control so that we have armed men involved in
political rallies, cote counting, polling stations (not as bad as expected).  This is all dangerous intimidating and highly unusual.
Most Americans can't be in favor of heavily armed extremist groups walking around protest rallies, vote counting centers, inside statehouses.
This is absurdist extremism.  Very dangerous and un-American stuff.

KISS

P-E Biden's got 2 immediate jobs

1-convince Americans to help defeat the disease until a vaccine is found masks social distancing selective closures to choke off hot-spots the virus has to be controlled
2-lay the groundwork for the next relief package to help Americans that will cost trillions

If he can do that he will gain a shit-ton of credit to do the next thing(s).

like infrastructure spending to get displaced workers working again that too will cost trillions

Stay away from politically charged issues that will only dig people in and make them nuttier than they are.

Do not give guns nuts-militia fuel for their fantasies

he has to defuse shit, not light the fucking fuses

Unfortunately, we're a 51-49 country,

he's got to get it to around 60-40 to get shit done and before the '22 mid-terms

if he doesn't he's a 1-term president,
