Parlaying favorites tonight

MEM, MIA, PHX money line

MONEY.

Great comeback by Grizz.  Both that series and Suns-Pels should see a Game 7.

Stll haave wagers on MIL (title), TOR and CHI (East) but wouldnt be surprised if they all flamed out.

Question - why is everyone all gaga over Boston?

Overheard on NBA Radio - "Harden's body is broken down"

- Wilbon

We'll see.

Kid I could (and have) comment on my feelings about the Celt's chances, but why don't you tell the forum why you think everyone is gaga over Boston and where you agree or disagree with the assessment?

CELTICS 40-1 to win it all, 20-1 to win East

Falling fast.

Falling? When?

They've generally been grouped as the 4-5-6 seed in the East which seems fair.

Its hard to bet against the Nets/Durant but they seem combustible. I don't trust them.

I like the Heat as my value pick at 35 to 1, Celts at 40 isn't bad.

I suspect that the Celts will gel as a team as the season progresses and they learn to play under Coach U.

There is a shitload of young talent on that team, (as mentioned a couple of weeks ago they have 8 homegrown 1s) several of whom were developmentally sidetracked by covid, for the past 2 years.

And if luck reverts to the mean, this snakebit team, will be the luckiest team in the NBA for the next few years.

Its only fair.

Get 'em while they're cheap.

sometimes you get lucky

Spike Lee is revisited by his nightmare of almost 40 years ago: Celts taking Brooklyn.

Celts D is crushing

Accused serial abuser Watson has limited his choice to Atlanta or Nawlins. So we dodged a bullet there.

Just a flesh wound.

I'm not sure I would characterize a game where one team up 17-7 late in the 3rd qtr, and gives up the last 13 points to lose 20-17, as back and forth.

YMMV

I thought the 49ers offense game plan to the extent there was one, was uninspired and JG's performance terrible.

A concise rebuttal.

Which says nothing to the point.

Taking little from the CinnCats or Rams and their deserving comebacks, I think there was a big slug of "blown" in both the wins.

Mahomes looked lost in the 2nd half, desperate to find someone open (kudos D adjustment) .   I would have loved to see him lose that fumble and the game on the penultimate 4Q play/pathetic scramble and strip sack.

I had KC covering (34-21) but in 4Q I was hoping for the upset. I couldn't handicap Cincy all year, yesterday was no different.

Jimmy G. was just terrible, gotta beleive its time for the 49ers to move on. Rodgers? Russell?
Maybe they could draft someone last year...

Having gotten so close to the SB, the 49ers may decide for a more potent offensive weapon than an untested lance. And many find Rodgers very offensive.

I had this one dead-on at LAR 20-17, thought the 49ers could win but loved the .5 hook

Andy Reid'a clockmastery bit KC in the ass today.

As Pats fan may remember 21-3 wasn't quite enough in Indy in '06 either.

went 1-1 today, (8-4 for post-season, over .500 for year,) and locked up '21-22 SoSH ATS pick 'em tourney, 2up 1 to play.

GO BENGALS

And then when the final whistle is blown, the refs can tack on a few more minutes of playing time, as they do in European football.

I like the sudden death TD aspect, if the defense can't prevent a first possession TD, maybe they deserve to lose. Make one fucking stop.

1st ballot HoFer

not many of those

joins the Hall among the elite of the elite

quite an honor for Big Papi.

And, as you know in your heart of hearts, and honor that is undeserved.

David Ortiz is wholly deserving the honor he was bestowed.

I could not be happier in my heart of hearts.

That you mocked him and his fans for close to 20 years and could not understand his prominence, dominance and almost larger than life presence in MLB, speaks to your biases and ignorance. If Ortiz didn't belong in the Hall, almost no one does.

Well maybe except Jamie Moyer.

HEH

That Ortiz joins a relatively small group of 1st ballot entrants to the Hall, recognized by the gate keepers as no-doubters, the best of the best, is wholly deserved.

Ortiz earned the honor.

Your recognition is not required.

And...as always, YOU missed the point.

If he's in, the others were locks.

Hall of Bullshit.

Figured you'd sign off on that.

Wrong again hammy.

The only point I addressed, was your point that Ortiz was not deserving of the honor.

His on-field body of work was recognized by the BBWAA as deserving of the honor, as many here have argued for years.

Whether Clemens or Bonds or Arod are deserving of the honor has nothing to do with Ortiz's body of work.

Its a bullshit argument.

Because X didn't get in you can't elect Y?

It doesn't work that way.

And it was wholly repudiated by the voters.
