Israel has not occupied Gaza militarily since 2005....though it has kept tight control of it.
Given recent events, obviously not tight enough.
Israel was tricked by the terrorists in Gaza. Israel thought its security was absolute...it wasn't.
That needs to be fixed, properly.

Bill Maher,
Do not Go to an Elite College Like I Did,
They are Bigoted North Korean Re-Education Camps
That Make You Dumb

As an Ivy League graduate who knows the value of a liberal education, I have one piece of advice for the youth of America, Do not go to college, and if you absolutely have to go, do not go to an elite college, because, as recent events have shown, it just makes you stupid.
There are few, if any, positives to come out of what happened in Israel, but one of them is opening American eyes to how higher education has become indoctrination into a stew of bad ideas, among them the simplistic notion that the world is a binary place where everyone either an oppressor or oppressed.
In the case of Israel, oppressors being babies and bubbes.
The same students who will tell you that words are violence, and silence is violence were very supportive when Hamas terrorists went on a rape and murder rampage worthy of the Vikings. They knew where to point the fingers, at the murdered.
And then it was off to ethics class.

Well there you go!

Seems about correct.

Bambu, you were last terrorized by a goldfish. Before that it was a butterfly.

My mind is terrorised by terrorists.
If the Capitol building is not secured absolutely...terrorists ...will...blow it up, just like they did to the twin towers.
Hijacked commercial airliners, mind you, and flew them into the buildings...and into the Pentagon!

Blowing up an unsecured Capitol building, the way things are now, would be simple even for trainee terrorists.
The movies "White House Down" and "Olympus Has Fallen" are indicative.

You'd think that given what happened before, yesterday's invasion of the Capitol building would've been impossible.
Obviously not.
Honestly, some people in charge of securing America are obviously asleep (and I don't mean Joe).
Asleep, dozing at the wheel.
Sleeping on the job.

"Palestinian protesters storm Capitol building".
LOL
What a joke.
Jan 6 minus Viking horns.

Terrorists have eyes!
One day, if security at the Capitol is not made absolute, terrorists will simply storm it, and blow it to bits.

As luck would have it, today's protesters were not terrorists - suicide bombers, military level bombers...in disguise.

"Pro-Hamas Harvard students cop backlash".

#####

No surprise.
Would anyone want students like that in their organisations?

"9 Palestinians dead and 20 injured"..... (in an IDF ground raid in Gaza targeting jihadist militants planning attacks on Israel)...screams the headline today.
"In a 3 hour gun battle" the report continues.

Excuse me!    3 hour gun battle?

Hardly "innocent Palestinian civilians"!
Getting invaded can turn you into a combatant pretty quickly.

Israelis are fighting now for their very existence...the majority of the world seemingly cheering for "free Palestine", and seemingly supporting the attacks on Israel as part of "the struggle" (sounds like the IRA and Northern Ireland).
Actually, that is a good analogy on how being made into a refugee and second class citizen in your own land can echo down through time. And how to end it. Because...

Your time line and attempted causal connection are utter bull shit.

Their own land?

He who has the best weapons/army rules Palestine...it has ever been so.
This time around it's not the current "Palestinians".

He who has the best weapons/army rules has always been, everywhere in the world.
Guns beat spears.
What, precisely, is your problem with Hamas, then? They are using the weapons at their disposal, after all.

Strategically situated between three continents, the region of Palestine (also known as the Land of Israel and the Holy Land) has a tumultuous history as a crossroads for religion, culture, commerce, and politics. Palestine is the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity, and has been controlled by many kingdoms and powers, including Ancient Egypt, Ancient Israel and Judah, the Persian Empire, Alexander the Great and his successors, the Hasmoneans, the Roman Empire, several Muslim caliphates, and the crusaders.
In modern times, the area was ruled by the Ottoman Empire, then the British Empire and since 1948 it has been divided into Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.
I am sure you needed the history lesson.

Hamas, a terrorist organisation, who would kill me in an instant given the chance, likely cook me alive in a bread oven, can and will, do whatever it likes.
You have a problem with Israel's reply to its barbaric attacks on Jews in Israel, I don't.

I needed the exact history, I'm a long way from the Middle East.
You did not get one yet.

Close enough.
Maybe the Zionist militias thought Palestine was being taken over by Muslims.
Maybe they just wanted somewhere safe for the Holocaust surviving Jews to live.
Who knows.

I know one thing...in the here and now, all invading Israel and massacring Jews is going to get you is exactly what there is today.
Even someone with only 1/4 of their brain working should know that.

If the Palestinians today thought their Arab friends in nations near and far would take them in as refugees, seems they were sorely mistaken.
Hamas has caused all their problems...they keep electing Hamas to rule them...bad choice.

Seems the AUKUS pact is dead in the water, so to speak.  'Albo' is going to America. "Mr 'Albo' goes to Washington".

Looks like 'no nukes for bambu' is coming true.

Such a pity Australia is not nuke-armed, bristling with the latest weapons of all kinds, and willing to use them when its citizens are harmed...might have some chance of getting Hamas to release the Aussie hostages/hostages of Aussie relatives then.

Mmm, maybe a Sydney mosque being allowed to commemorate today the deaths of three Hezbollah fighters killed by the Israeli army in recent days, 'honour jihadists'[DTele] might help.
Maybe not.

Anything goes in Australia today, basically....for some people anyway.

Here's another idea:
Hamas, Islamic Jihad release the hostages, leave Gaza and go live somewhere else...like Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria etc.
You know, to save the lives of Palestinians in Gaza.

Seeing as how the UN, Arab world including those who snubbed Joe, aren't interested in stopping Hamas and Islamic Jihad from living in Gaza and attacking Israel...looks like it's going to be left to Israel to do it.

Bambu is an ideas man.
Here's an idea:
What about a UN force takes control of Gaza, drives out Hamas etc terrorists, and permanently stops Israel being attacked and invaded from Gaza.
No, bambu, you have to be really really rich to say something irredeemably stupid and pass yourself off as an ideas man. If you are poor, you are not an ideas man, you are a stupid little git. You stupid little git.

There is literally a list of things no nation on earth is stupid enough to do, and oddly enough #2 on the list is "Serve as an army of occupation in Gaza."

I mean, the UN Charter would prohibit using forces in the manner you suggest but no country would be stupid enough to do it.

Then the UN, seemingly run by China and Russia, is basically useless.
