Whites now more likely to die from covid than Blacks: Why the pandemic shifted

Quote
After delta's peak in September 2021, the racial differences in covid deaths started eroding. The Post analysis found that Black deaths declined, while White deaths never eased, increasing slowly but steadily, until the mortality gap flipped. From the end of October through the end of December, White people died at a higher rate than Black people did, The Post found.

"Usually, when we say a health disparity is disappearing, what we mean is that ... the worse-off group is getting better," said Tasleem Padamsee, an assistant professor at Ohio State University who researched vaccine use and was a member of the Ohio Department of Health's work group on health equity. "We don't usually mean that the group that had a systematic advantage got worse."

At the same time that they are busy complaining about mental health of youth, rather than guns being a problem, the GOP-led states are opting out of tracking troubled youths' behavior.

None of it would have done you any good or stopped the terrible stunting of growth you have imposed upon yourself.

Define "growth".

No.

There is no point in discussing things with you.

The students have declined in achievement big time with remote learning...

https://www.usnews.com/news/education-news/articles/2022-10-24/pandemic-prompts-historic-decline-in-student-achievement-on-nations-report-card

The students need to be in school in person, with real teachers, and there is also the social aspects, the kids make friends at school. And beyond that, I also support after school activities and sports for the kids.

While remote learning may be cheap and easy, it is not the best way to go for the children, the children need to be in real schools with real teachers.

Salute,

Tony V.

This is not year over year. We won't have a real sense of the cost until 2 and 3 years from now.

The results on that test have been declining for years. And another report just out gives a far more mixed result.

Phillies have taken the lead.

Does Houston continue their march or can the Yankees slow them up?

Nice that both series ended on the same day instead of giving one an extra day to prepare. Two pretty strong performances by the winning teams.

And wasn't it appropriate for the Yankees' season to end with Judge?

Thanks Josh, I sent you my poetry book, and my movie script, on very old programs from an old HP Desk Top. I have no idea if you will be able to open the programs, I cannot open them but my Mother was able to open my movie script, I guess. It is sad that everything gets old and that programs become outdated.

Thanks for the advice on the Apple, I will learn.

Let me know who you think should star in my movie, if you are able to open it.

Tony, I will take a look at each of your works, but I would not expect a response from me for at least a week.

In turn, you should find Mac-readable versions of them each in your inbox!

~Josh

Graham really doesn't want to testify under oath.

I suspect he is going to have to.

https://www.reuters.com/legal/judge-says-trump-knowingly-pressed-inaccurate-voter-fraud-claims-court-2022-10-19/

Quote
A California federal judge on Wednesday said then-U.S. President Donald Trump had signed a sworn statement asserting that voter fraud numbers included in a 2020 election lawsuit were accurate, despite being told the numbers were not correct.

This is the first time a judge has declared that Trump broke federal law.

In addition, the Eastman emails are being passed along, as a result.
