Following Kid's Kaiser Foundation post, this seemed like an interesting chart. It looks at deaths in counties from COVID following Stay in Place Orders (SIPO). Rate = 0 is about their being little support for Trump, 0.5 is a fairly even split between support for Trump vs. support for Biden, and 1.0 is strong support for Trump

As days following SIPO progressed, the more a county supported Trump, the more sharply their deaths went up.

This is from the journal, World Medical & Health Policy. It has many more numbers and charts. The numbers are earlier than the KFF numbers.

COVID-19 Deaths by Race/Ethnicity

https://www.kff.org/other/state-indicator/covid-19-deaths-by-race-ethnicity/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel=%7B%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22%7D

That's a fascinating chart, Kid!

In 31 states, the percentage of whites who have died minus percentage of whites in their population is greater than the gap between percentage of African-Americans who have died minus their percentage in the state's population.

In 19 states, it goes the other way. It's equal in one state.

In many cases, the differences in percentages from population to deaths is small. In a few cases, the A-A population is too small for there to be a significant gap in population to deaths.

But still, it is striking how many states see a significantly greater death rate among their white citizens!

Playboy needs to do a magazine full of pictures of beautiful naked women from Afghanistan, and Playboy can help the men of the world to fall in love with the women of Afghanistan. And Playboy might help the women of Afghanistan to be loved and adored, in an otherwise cold and cruel world. Playboy might also promote the French Foreign Legion.

Salute,

Tony V.

And to hell with the less attractive women who don't make the cut in Tony's world.

Former President Trump plans a rally tomorrow in Cullman, Ala., where the city council met Thursday to declare a state of emergency because coronavirus cases are so high. Every ICU bed in Alabama is full, the state Hospital Association said Wednesday.

This is why Trump pushed vaccinations in Alabama.

And the audience reaction is why Alabama's ICU beds are full.

And why the variant(s) will keep spreading.

Red Sox had two nights in a row without losing. Probably won't lose on Sunday or Monday, either. And if they don't shift tomorrow's game earlier, which they likely won't, we might make it 5 days in a row without losing a game.

Sure, only one will have seen a game get played, but... Sale and ERod and pray for rain? Somebody has been praying really hard!

Not hard enough.

For anyone complaining about ‘botched’ evacuation of allies from Afghanistan.

Good catch.

Good diggin by NBC but they - and many of you - shouldn't be so obsessed with the former prez.

"Don't remind us that while we're complaining about Joe (Vacations, people left behind, policies the left won't like) that our guy, whom we still revere and want back did far worse," says Kid.

The "human shield" bullshit is phenomenal. It's nonsensical as is the line, "they only get one childhood."

Somebody should bring that back at him when he argues (as he would) against aid to the poor or extended unemployment benefits, etc. "they only get one childhood, Josh. Why are you trying to deprive them of it?"

"In seven short months, Joe Biden has caused America to lose the respect of the entire world. The evidence is clear and his actions are so egregious that he must be impeached"

Pretty damned funny coming from her.

And even funnier coming from you.

You hated and ignored all the polls and comments about Trump's so-called leadership in the eyes of the rest of the world. More is still thought of Joe Biden on his worst day in most of the world than was thought of Trump on his best, except for 2 or maybe 3 countries.

Rest assured, Kid, our opinion of you is right there with that of Trump.
