What sort of lies, denials, and obfuscations are being presented by Ward today?

No, don't tell me. It's unrelated to the truth.

There are a lot of people who hate America, and they are attacking everything about America, including the NFL, Coca Cola, and Dr Seuss.

And people are dividing us up, and people are fighting us among ourselves.

The people who say they are fighting against hate are the ones spreading the hate. People are creating hate.

And we damn well better unite, Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, all as Americans.

We also need for the teachers to teach American history to people, one third of the people in California are foreign born, and they need to know the truth when it comes to American history.

We need to teach people about our Founding Fathers, and about our Declaration of Independence, and about our Constitution and about our Bill of Rights.

We need to teach American history from an American perspective

Which Americans would those be, Tony?

The Natives who were lied to, killed, and cheated out of their land? For whom we practically never wrote a treaty that we later honored? Whom we denied the right to vote?

The Blacks who we kept enslaved ("All Men are Created Equal, except for you guys!) for almost 180 years after our founding, then kept down for another century plus after that?

The Women who were also denied the right to vote, denied the right to own property, denied the right to have credit in their own names... and who were "allowed" to be raped without consequence for so long?

Perhaps you mean the Japanese who were interned in camps for the crime of looking wrong and who had their property stolen from them along with their freedom.

Maybe you mean the victims of the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment or the kids who ate irradiated cereal at our government's behest.

Or you might be thinking of the U.S. civilians on whom the Army ran germ warfare experiments from 1949 to 1969 - almost 250 experiments without getting any participant's permission, first.

Tony,

It's fine with me if we teach U.S. history, but you better learn it yourself before you tell somebody else what they can and cannot teach!

From the NY Times:
Virus variant in Brazil infected many who had already recovered from Covid-19
The new studies have yet to be published in scientific journals. Their authors caution that findings on cells in laboratories do not always translate to the real world, and they’ve only begun to understand P.1’s behavior

There's just as much variation when you consider divorce rates by U.S. state. Fourteen states have a divorce rate of 50-65%. Oklahoma, for example, has the highest divorce rate of any state, with 65.7% of marriages ending in divorce court. Twelve states have a divorce rate ranging from 15% to 39%, with the remaining states falling in between. Hawaii boasts the lowest divorce rate of any state, at around 20%.

Bride Magazine, I think.

I received a text an hour ago from Medstar Health telling me to check my email and find the link to schedule an appointment;

Twenty minutes later I had an appointment for 12:30 pm tomorrow at the Navy Yard facility.

Yay!

Abuse of privilege/power on the part of GOP congressmen:
https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/26/politics/cpac-house-republicans-proxy-voting/index.html

Claiming they could not attend votes due to a public health emergency, enabling them to use the "proxy voting" process set up, while attending CPAC.

Scum.

NOTE: I didn't like it any better when the Democratic congressmen did it, either. Of course, one of those was Charlie Crist, ex-GOP. And they were at a SpaceX launch, not CPAC.

Still, they should not have done it, either. But if McCarthy was going to ding them for that, where is his voice now?!

Wearing a mask will provide a fair degree of protection, and in conjunction with other measures will prevent infections and save lives.

I'm glad you know more than the scientists, Bo.

Do as you will.

Hey, I can admit I was wrong here, too, Bo.

Want to place it in a few more spaces?!

I listened to Fauci's public statements and believed them.

I blame Trump more than Fauci, because Trump had all the info he needed to warn us and he chose to withhold it.

But it was my mistake, not Trump's or Fauci's, that prompted my comment.

You were very right.

Yup - admitted I was wrong to listen to Fauci then.

Admit it again, now.

Bo, you were just flat right.

Cool. Gonna keep an eye on which republican scumbags get the most freaked out this weekend. It will help fill out the pool of tour guides.

Given that there were no official tours, since July?! Yeah.
