Little point to ruling on it after hours at this point.

Sure, the Court upheld the right of the FDA to enforce this new rule, but the rule itself will be removed early in the term.

Yes, all that travelling, when basically told to stay home...all that hugging, kissing, dancing, partying...now look what's happening.
Trump of course will get the blame.

Saw Joe getting the jab...courtesy of Trump's work..

Can't help yourself.

(a) Trump will get some of the blame, because he has EARNED it. He did not tell people to stay home. The FAA did not force greater screening. If you look at the states where things are growing the fastest, figure out what they have in common - because I assure you the numbers are clear.

(b) No, you misrepresent the facts there, too. It is not because of Trump that the vaccines were developed so swiftly, for all that he wants the credit for it - otherwise, the ones that were part of Operation Warp Speed would have been the only ones that came out so fast, but that is not even close to what happened.

According to this, 18 per cent of Republicans support the rioters that broke through Capitol barricades on 1/6

An excellent mirror to this would have been asking Democrats if they supported the Atlanta Wendy's being burned to the ground.

Because stopping the process of choosing the next president by trying to stage a coup while vandalizing the Capitol Building and seeking to kill or capture congresspeople and the VP is exactly the same as burning a fast food restaurant.

Some conservatives and Republicans have argued that left-leaning politicians and pundits were more accepting of violent Black Lives Matter riots – amid more peaceful BLM protests – that took place in major U.S. cities over the summer and led to the destruction of local businesses than they were of the Capitol riot.

Ya think?

Aren't you?

Not that it matters much at this point, but Ossoff's lead is now over 55,000 and Warnock's over 93,000.

DHS agents were on standby on Wednesday, but were not called until too late. (And their leaders were not listening to the television?!)

American justice trundles along...

Great!

Now can we do something about the 3,000 municipalities whose water is *worse* than Flint's?!

GOP arguments for why one should not impeach are nonsensical.

Kind of makes me wonder about the aspersions cast by the ex-head of the CP at others, even as I grant that others share the burden.

Quote
A Capitol officer who was present during the attack said the rank-and-file of the department feel demoralized and betrayed by leadership.

Officers were not “prepared whatsoever” to handle the mob that overwhelmed the Capitol and had no dedicated security briefing in advance, unlike with other major events, said the officer, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of retribution.

When officers were hit in the face with bear spray, they did not have the equipment or weapons to retaliate, he added.

“In my time as an officer, we have never failed so miserably than we did on that day,” the officer said. “We were failed by our management. . . . We were put in a situation to fail.”

He added: “It’s like trying to climb Mount Everest and they give you house slippers.”
