Nope. Not much question about the skill set or shot selection, really. He does what he's paid to do and what nobody else on the roster can do.

The unresolved questions are:

a) What's going on between the ears? Not looking good.

b) How willing is he to keep improving his defense? I honestly couldn't watch him during his first Knick go-round and welcomed his departure because it was so awful. It's much improved, but still demands an equal level of improvement from here.

Plenty of time for him to resolve those questions. From Kam's perspective, he's been doing his job perfectly.

I am happy for your enjoyment.

But honestly, even tanking full stop, we're going to have a tough time making it much deeper into the draft.

Most of those teams below really blow.

Playoff trip would have been far more meaningful for our youngun's, imho....

timmy on fire again--- NOT.

I fucking argued with Chip early on. This kid is a role player on a 2nd unit and NOT a starting scorer.

Fuck Mills for giving him that contract.

On the positive side, if you give him 35 minutes a night, he could shoot us all the way down to the number 4 or 5 pick in the draft. For each of the next four years.

Especially with Hornacek, who would surely love to have another Bledsoe/Dragic type situation ... but there, adding one too many to the pot ultimately helped spoil the stew ... and then they completely forgot what they were cooking.

*** I don't think we're in this situation; we're just collecting and playing with ingredients

Does anyone think they will ever allow defense to be played in the NBA again? These 148 point games were for fun for a little while, but now I'm getting bored.

Well you know how I feel about McBuckets.

And I don't mind giving Mudiay a spin or two. But I'm not really sure how this helps with our major problems.

Malone reiterated that defense is the primary reason he currently keeps any player on the bench. Mudiay entered Saturday ranked last among NBA point guards in defensive real plus-minus, which measures a player’s impact on team defensive performance.

“You have to guard your position. You have to have discipline,” Malone said. “And if you do those things, anything you give us on the offensive end of the floor is just a bonus.

Anyway, I guess it helps Horny move forward with his all-guards-all-the-time plan, lol, lol....

Cousin Boogie's teams don't win.

Nah, they were very obviously winning. It was coming along super nice. Really fun to watch.

In his 48th minute, of a back-to-back game ....

I still don't count out any team w/Lebron on it...

kinda the definition of spinning yer wheels...

*** 'tho for us, any transactions that don't result in 4yrs/75 mil qualify as near-miracles.
12  Sports / Basketball / Re: Knicks on: February 07, 2018, 02:17:56 PM
Hornacek had clearly made up his mind about him. Wasn't gonna play him.

And Hornacek not going anywhere now that the season is shot.

So no trade value to build.

Anyway, the guy Willie could learn post defense from is presently AWOL.

So ... all4thebest.

*** which is by no means the same as good.

Not bad. Charlotte 2cnd's could be relatively high.

Rather have incoming players who can augment our budding "defensive culture,"
but in a league where you gotta pay people to take your big guys, not bad.

*** I mean, honestly, what did we expect to get for him? What did Philly get for Okafor?
14  Sports / Basketball / Re: Knicks on: February 06, 2018, 10:39:09 AM
Agreed, LOL, he is not waving at his girlfriend, NOT.

What's interesting is Hornacek. He's definitely going WTF?

At what?
15  Sports / Basketball / Re: Knicks on: February 04, 2018, 02:29:41 PM
Honestly. WTF is up with the trust in this guy?

He's 5 for something million last three games.

Makes horrible mental errors. Inexcusable ones.

I coach 5th graders so much better than Hornacek coaches pro's.

Ring the bell. Tie the noose. Clean out the office. Goose the fat dwarf. Whatever it is that's supposed to happen.

And that time-machine ref routine was straight out of the twilight zone, but still, got to be some kind of omen.
