IOKIYAR. What was the name of the Senator/Dr that diagnosed the brain dead woman in Florida?

In Re: Making assumptions of the person based on their writings. Quad Drop]https://youtu.be/ZzLky4U-xCg] Quad Drop

OK, this is just me (?) but the main reason I write is because I am constantly amazed by what it reveals to me about me. This is true whether I'm writing something autobiographic or as a character in a novel or as an instructor. I used to write a newspaper column that more often than seldom taught me as much or more than I set out to teach my readers (assuming I had any.)

So, if you go back and read what you have written, you're likely to spot certain themes that you didn't recognize you were putting there in real time. That isn't to say that you won't also say, "Man, I laid that motherfucker OUT!" Meaning, you won't necessarily change your own mind either.

Beyond this is the ridiculousness of the assertion in the first place. If indeed the person/character you portray on the forums isn't "The Real Me" (see above) then the comments about who you are don't refer to you either. That doesn't mean that they don't explain the general theme of your character's backstory. If it looks like, feels like, smells like and tastes like dog shit,]https://youtu.be/eY7ZX6ngOSs]If it looks like, feels like, smells like and tastes like dog shit, that's probably what it is. It's possible it came from some different shithole, but not likely.

If your character carpet bombs dog shit. You don't get to say, "Hey, it's your fault there's dog shit all over the place because you're the one pointing it out."

Is kid working on his New Year's Resolution? OK. I'll give him some space to try to change the story arc of his character. Gad knows it has to be better than the one he has been working up until now. So, Good Luck KidCarter8 (maybe you'll be KidCarter9 Or KidCarter8.1) But Mr. Utley's character is a stone cold racist. I agree with his admonition of the Dems as still looking for the magic pill to lose the weight of Republican bloat instead of doing the actual work. It's kind of a newer story line for him. Unfortunately it sounds like he's fighting with himself as his drinking (or whatever it is that makes him so combative) (We'll call it "combative") over tones his message with abrasive nastiness.

NeedsAdjustment, are/were you Rembee? A simple yes or no. I'll take your answer as sincere. Doesn't particularly matter to a guy who has had two handfuls of handles. Just like it doesn't bother me that Red is some drawer filled with sock puppets. I don't have to explain to him what I think of his dysfunction is about.

Anyway. Enjoy.
I would be shocked beyond words if Rembee is NeedsAdjustment.

I have been and remain uncomfortable with "doctors" and laymen alike who feel they can diagnose mental illness without examination.
Until there is an examination that reinforces your biases.
This makes zero sense.  But, behave as expected.  Slink back under your rock.

Wow. Tyler Hilinski, who QB'd Washington State in the Holiday Bowl, is dead, a suspected suicide. RIP.

Out of the gene pool. See ya!
Is that one of those trolling posts of yours designed to prompt great conversation?
37  National / Bush Administration / Re: Bush Administration on: January 17, 2018, 11:10:51 AM
It seems that if one's postings don't reflect that individual's "true nature," then they're just trolling.

Some trolling has value. It spurs discussion. I dare say some of us accused of "trolling" have spurred some of the greatest conversations ever held here.

But either way, judging a person's content of character as narrowly as some do here is just poor reasoning.

Should we judge MLK, JR strictly by his womanizing and plagiarizing, both symptoms of an apparent need to bend the rules and cheat? Should we only look at Trump based on his latest tweet? Should we assess Bill Clinton strictly on his finger-wagging "I did NOT have sex with that woman!" claim?

Should we judge the whole of YOU on your tendency to comment only on other's opinions while rarely initiating or expressing your own?

Or by you tendency to express the tremendous value of an inclusive society, while working hard to be sure your kids only go to exclusive colleges?

I don't think that's fair, do you?

Which question do you want answered?

Today, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a report, revealing that three out of every four, or 402, individuals convicted of international terrorism-related charges in U.S. federal courts between September 11, 2001, and December 31, 2016 were foreign-born. Over the same period, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement removed approximately 1,716 aliens with national security concerns. Further, in 2017 alone DHS had 2,554 encounters with individuals on the terrorist watch list (also known as the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database) traveling to the United States.

This report was required by Section 11 of President Trump’s Executive Order 13780, Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States, which declared that “it is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from terrorist attacks, including those committed by foreign nationals,” directed a series of actions to enhance the security and safety of the American people. The actions directed by Executive Order have raised the baseline for the vetting and screening of foreign nationals, prevented the entry of malicious actors, and enhanced the safety and security of the American people.

Isn't it kidcarter8 who very recently chided me for posting what he (failed to) argue were self-evident and obvious statistics about immigrants from Africa?

How is it in any way surprising that individuals convicted of international terrorism are foreign-born?  What percentage of those charged with Domestic Terrorism are US Citizens, kidcarter8?  Where the accused is from is built in to the charge.  "Fun with numbers", right?

And have to love the breathless fear mongering re: how many "encounters" there have been with people on the Terrorist Watch List when Republicans, and Trump by extension, still support allowing people on that list to buy guns.

Why was a "conversation starter" needed?

It's terrible how the lamstream media has it in for Trump.

This award-winning documentary might be worth a look today.

Showing on PBS this evening, in most places, on Independent Lens.  Or one can, as always, be smug and confidently assert  that racism is over and Dr. King's work completed.
Not  Mr Steele’s point

I bet Red State Ward agrees with you Espnthree!

Maybe you should stop "betting" ('I bet RSW....') and "wondering" ('I wonder why Kid......') - and actually say something around here

To what purpose?

To argue? With whom? With me? Ehh, no point in that.

With you? With Red? Neither of you give a good Goddamn about what is actually said, only which whiskers get tickled as the stimuli go past.

With Tony V? Not likely to result in a dialog.

With Mr. Utley? No need to make an argument, all you need to do is walk outside his fence and that old sonovabitch will start barking his lungs out. He'll stop after you get far enough down the sidewalk. He'll go back to the porch thinkin, "I scared away another burgler!"

So is there any real reason for Yankguy not to just occupy the character he inhabits here?
If Red cared about what I wrote and took it to heart he would no longer be posting here. If Kid cared about what I wrote he'd go back to school and get his high school diploma.
Oh, I see.  You are all about insulting .
I don't really insult either of your posting names.
