There will be a brief pause in Elba Yapping while democrat members scramble for the latest talking points.

Please check back for their updates.

RIP Earle Bruce.

Bruce of course succeeded Woody Hayes when Hayes was cruelly oisted after a,ClemSIN player deliberately ran onto his hand. Had decent but not Hayes level success and never quite broke through the following a legend thing.

The democrat Party!!!!!  This is one of Dick Vitale's favorite things to post.
I remember him! He was, amazingly precisely as stupid and intellectually dishonest as Red.

“They didn’t want me to be a President”
Hillary Clinton quoted in NY Times reporter Amy Chozick’s new book,
Chasing Hillary: Ten Years, Two Presidential Campaigns, and One Intact Glass Ceiling.

And Hillary was referring to the democrat Party!

This despite the contentions of Socialist Bernie Sanders who said that the same democrat Party didn’t want him to be President and rigged the primaries to be sure. ( confirmed later by the former DNC Chairman)

And Joe Biden confiding he couldn’t sustain a nomination effort because “ Bill and Hillary would conspire to ruin me!”

Now we have DNC Chair Tom Perez filing a lawsuit against the Russians,  the Trump Campaign, and Wikileaks alleging a conspiracy of collusion (COLLUSION!) to deny Hillary the presidency.

Oh, we also have the subplot of democrats raging against former FBI-leaker-in-chief Jim Comey for screwing Hillary while at the same time rooting for his arguments against Trump in( wait for it)
his new book!

All of this as democrats wallow (and sob) in the minority.

As the country climbs, finally, to fulll employment and a solid economic future under GOP  leadership.

Nunes pushing for the release of the Comey memos not working out the way he planned.
Yeah. Comey is exposed as a money grubbing  tell-all author whonembarrassed himsel and the FBI.
Or, a guy wrote a book unfavorable to Trump that is supported by his contemporaneous notes so I guess all you can do is pretend you have something against profit motive.

You might want to bone up on “ full employment”.  If you had you would not have brought up the unemployment rate.

Why is that?  It is the labor statistic most associated with the concept.  Sure, you would also technically need to track inflation, but where economists can disagree, I think we yapsters can use a general rule of thumb.

Technically, I don't think most economists think we are at full employment at the moment, but the point is that we are not in any substantive way closer to it now than we were before the passing of the tax cuts.

The only thing that has ZOOMED since the passing of that law have been stock buybacks.

The Obama Economy was a good one?
During the Obama years the GOP took over Congress, won 1000 seats in state governments, and won 35 governorships.
Those democrat economic decisions of high taxes and stifling regulations didn’t set well with voters. Notice how once the GOP passed a tax cut the country zoomed to full employment with the CBO predicting 3.3%
GDP.

For anyone needing a demonstration of what a lying intellectually dishonest ass Red is, the tax cut was passed in late 12/17. The unemployment rate in December? 4.1. In 10/17? 4.1. 11/17? 4.1. 1/18? 4.1. 2/18?  4.1. ZOOM!

Also note what used to be your favorite employment statistic: the number of working aged Americans not currently working has risen by over 1000000 since Obama left office in January of 2017. Since anyone who understood that number knew that would happen, it is not a surprise that you and the right wing partisan cocksucker sites you get your talking points from would forget all about it.
My, my.  You do get vicious when you are wandering lost in the woods.

That being said, as I noted before Tipirneni is working the District much harder than prior Dems. She is also concentrating on social security and Medicare which are both big concerns in the district.

Week or so ago, on our way out Wickenburg way, I saw two Imprison Hilary and one - seriously - Impeach Hilary signs. It's that kind of district.

http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/383340-poll-arizona-special-election-in-dead-heat

For.what it is worth, I do not believe this is accurate. Repos are a huge registration advantage here. Dr. Tipirneni has worked the district much more than previous Dems, but anything under double digits would surprise me immensely.

What's weird is that was a landline poll.  Which would tend to skew Repub, wouldn't it?  So the dead heat result is all the more perplexing.  I don't understand, as a general thing, why landline polls are even remotely considered valid nowadays.
You may not be accounting for cell phone coverage in Arizona. Or for the particular age demographic of Sun City.

The two elections contested by Dems in this version of the district got I think 35% and 31%. If Tipirneni is anywhere close I would be surprised. The state party has almost come out and admitted they are looking to poach votes and increase registrations for the statewide races, including at least 1 Senate seat, in November.
