Yes, in 2018 President Trump fired the entire US Pandemic Response Team. Such amazing leadership!
Yes….and with typical Trump awareness and decisiveness immediately moved to take the opposite and precisely wrong course of action. Consistency--the Trump hallmark.

Con men exist because there are marks.
Oh yes…..believe it Barton. And Trump is, in my mind, the greatest con man of all time. I don’t know why he can’t be happy with that. I thought he was good when he slithered away from that ‘pussy grabbing’ thing with no repercussions to his campaign….but then he topped that by getting 60 million Americans to actually vote for him. Nobody in history can even come close to that.

Excellent leadership by Trump today. May just be the best president of my lifetime, rivaling Reagan.
Oh Klid, Klid…..I wish we could understand you…..but we don’t. We just don’t understand how someone could be as stupid as you apparently are. Trump we get. He’s just a big con man. Has been his entire adult life. He knows no other way to operate. But you??? You don’t gain anything for Trumps criminal stupidity….all you end up is looking completely dumb. And when it all finally falls completely apart, there you will be, trying desperately to blame this on the Democrats or someone else—anyone else—-besides your orange hero, while anyone with a modicum of sanity listening to you won’t be able to avoid thinking ‘dumb shit’—absolutely clueless.

Too stupid even for a Trump appointee. Really.
Is such a thing possible?
And while we are at it, we have to stop calling our great President a coward over those five bone spur deferments he received during the Viet Nam era. A bone spur can put anyone on the bench—even some of our greatest athletes.
Just look at how he displayed his metal in India during the last few days. Trump had them crank up Air Force One and fly him into the heart of darkest Asia—not that far from the place where the possible pandemic is starting. He even took the brave Melania with him (designating her as Canary One). Then he waddled out into the middle of a 100,000 person crowd in the middle of a stadium to wave and smile in a place where the virus could easily be floating around just waiting for an old, out of shape host to pass by. Who could guarantee that not one of those 100,000 hadn’t ordered out for some Chinese food in the previous few days?
And just think what must have been racing trough the famous germ-o-fobs mind every time he had to shake the hand of one of those little brown men? CORONAVIRUS!!! It probably took a supreme act of will not to make a dash for the armored limo right then and there and then to high power it back to AF1, where an unlimited amount of hot water for showers and all the Sani-wipes he might need would be available.
Now, who could say this supreme act of bravery was not done in the name of our great country?

"Oh, they turned it down. Back to the drawing board."
Unlike Humpty-Trumpty, the Chinese usually have some pretty sharp people working for them. The have undoubtedly been watching Trump get played for months by Putin and even Kid Kim, so they are not going to be in any hurry to give anything away to Mr. Art of the Deal. He’s going to need this deal a lot worse than they will, so they will make him pay.

Trump is no racist by any standard.
Oh? Clearly not by any standards you ever held….but those 5 kids he kept trying to throw in jail even after they were proven innocent in the Central Park incident might disagree.

Trump: If Romney Was Truly Religious, He’d Have Supported Both Impeachment Articles, Not Just One
If that so-called religion of his were any good he would have called down a Devine intervention—a bolt of lightning, for example…..

Texas GOP rejects “perverted” Log Cabin Republicans request for booth at state convention
Perverted? No, no….not at all. That’s just one of the reasons that we are proud Republicans! If only the RNC would kick us out of the party….Now that would be a Republican Party we could truly believe in instead of just being barely tolerated.

Saw a clip of Susan Collins from the morning, talking about how she believes being impeached has taught Trump a lesson.
Just a slight variation of the same old song she’s been singing for years. It’s amazing how many people continue to bite on this every time she sings it. Maybe this time the people who voted for her will finally say “That’s enough, Susan….we’ve heard this one way too many times now. Time for you to retire.”

Senator Marco Rubio, in explaining that he can see that Trump is guilty as charged, even without the witnesses or further evidence, but he still is not going to vote for either nor for removing Trump from office. Not even a censure, from the sounds of it.
Just another sterling chapter in the record being assembled by the Limp  Noodle of the Senate. How useless is this guy? Why do they keep electing him? Oh, all right….so maybe he beats out Rand Paul. But Rand has an excuse…..he fancies himself to be a Libertarian—always a good starting point for incomprehensibility (or maybe that wig glue of his is starting to seep into his brain).

Spot on.  Trump is the Chosen One, indeed!  Question is still - Who did the real choosing?
Very good question, DeeJ, and one I occasionally ask myself. You know that most of the time it isn’t Trump doing the actual choosing, not with his short attention span and his aversion to work and any sort of research or deep attention to detail (Trumppy is the ‘overall’—big picture theorist—“Too many immigrants in this country….etc.”)). His choices for judges have come from some right wing conservative outfit (I forget their name at the moment). Still, you wonder….how much do the Bannons, et all, of this administration, influence who gets into positions of power….considering that loyalty to the Dear Leader is always first and foremost while ideology beyond Trumpism is not necessary.

Pompeo is an absolute human turd.  Yet another guy who's life path ran through Wichita and stayed there too long.
You remember when Trump promised to get ‘the very best’ people for his administration? As per usual with Trump, the result ended up 180 degrees opposite. Good people won’t work with Trump. No one with any sence of honor or self respect can exist around Trump. Nor does he want that sort of person around him. Trump wants sleaze bags and social climbers around him. Those are the kind of people he has interacted with his entire adult life. Those are the kind of people he understands, and he will thus be in a position to dominate them since he knows their greed so well. In Trump’s world there are no good people and bad people, there are only winners and losers (him being the greatest winner among them all—the man with the most, the greatest, the biggest pile).

"Donald Trump only cares about Donald Trump.  He could not give two fucks about you." How do they not already know this?
They are like anyone who deludes themselves into thinking that they can ‘play’ a master con artist. “Oh, he’ll never do it to me….anyone else he will knife in an instant, I know that….but never me…..I’m too important to him—too loyal—“
They forget what a miserable human being Donald Trump is, and that there is nothing he would not do to advance himself and his personal goals…..If it is good for Trump then it's all good....

How am I to keep the squirrels away from the pumpkins if I can't own a military-style assault rifle?

Barton: Have you considered some sort of rocket-propelled grenade launcher? Of course this might take out the offending squirrel and a number of pumpkins but these are the things you must consider when thinking about collateral damage and the well-armed American citizen....
