Jags with a major ass-kicking

not many good take aways for the Pats in that half

2nd half wasn't much better.

Better team won.

It was Vontae Davis (he and his brother, Vernon, who plays for the Redskins, are DC high school football legends) who abruptly retired.

I thought Josh was doing a Draft Day riff.

the imagined offensive juggernaut hasn't quite jelled yet

that O-line might get him killed.

Josh Gordon to the Patriots.
For a fifth round pick. Interesting. A lot of his pro lems supposedly stem  from serious self esteem issues. Fortunately, Belichick is known for his positive personality and coddling talent.

We have also, to the surprise of no one, picked up a new kicker and kicked Gonzalez out. Straight out. No truth to the rumor we kicked him out wide right.

Minnesota picked up the guy I wanted us to get, Dan Bailey.

Pats cut Corey Coleman to make room for Gordon.

They kept the sneakers.

Color me skeptical.

Who else you guys got?

From the book that everyone will want to read: One New England assistant said the general feeling among staff members around that time wasn’t that Belichick’s system could make Super Bowl quarterbacks out of all 32 NFL starters. “But if you gave us any of the top 15, we could do it,” the assistant said. “I don’t think the coaches view Tom as special as everyone else in football does. Mr. Kraft thinks Tom is the greatest gift ever, but the coaches don’t.”
