Pats trade Cooks to Rams for 1st rounder (#23rd)

Like the trade.

Did Cooks wake up yet?

if they did't want to pay/extend  Cooks, there's no reason to think they'd use draft choices to pay twice that for mega head case, OBJ

pass on OBJ

Pats WR: Edelman, Mitchell, Hogan, Dorsett, Patterson, Britt some new guys, Wing n prayer.

rg3 to ravens?
Well, he and Flacco are very similar in their playing styles, so they will not have to change the playbook if Flacco gets hurt, like they would have to for.someone like Kaeppernick....

Sounds like he wants to stay in NFC East and play Cowboys 2X.

So my guess Redskins.

listening to a Simmon podcast with Francesa and the, "why BB did not play Butler" was still being kicked around.

Francesa sounds firmly on team BS-that BB outsmarted himself and would not admit to nor  adjust to a monumental fuck-up.

pride goeth before the fall.

francesa is a prideful man. he also has a long term hatred of BB, stemming back to his public and mistaken analysis of the BB jets departure. if there is anyone who cannot admit an error, for sure, it is mike francesa.

Francesa has mellowed re BB, (taking a cue from Parcells) , but you are right in Francesa will never admit he is wrong.

So in that he can understand the BB Butler decision.

Mark Sanchez suspended for a performance ENHANCING drug? Clearly something is amiss with the NFL testing protocol.

Had a feeling this story had some legs.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/22/patriots-expect-both-tom-brady-rob-gronkowski-to-play-this-year/

Apart from Gronkowski’s satisfaction or lack thereof with his pay, there’s also a belief that Gronkowski, Brady, and other Patriots continue to be salty about the inexplicable — and still unexplained — benching of cornerback Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl. A full eleven weeks later, coach Bill Belichick still hasn’t shed any light on the decision to use Butler for only one special-teams play and to keep him on the bench even after the Philly offense shredded the New England defense enough to force a change to the dime package during a 30-minute halftime.

None of the theories that have made the rounds fully hold water, and as one coach with another team previously pointed out to PFT, the fact that Butler took practice reps during the week before the Super Bowl strongly suggests that the move was disciplinary. Some have suggested that Butler may have had an unauthorized visitor in his room during the week before the game, but security at the J.W. Marriott at the Mall of America was too high to allow players to sneak someone in.

The fact that the Titans quickly pounced on Butler in free agency serves only to deepen the mystery. Given the ties that Tennessee G.M. Jon Robinson and coach Mike Vrabel have to the Patriots, the thinking is that there’s no way the Titans would have committed $30 million in guaranteed money to Butler if there was a major problem with the player’s ability or his attitude.

The questions will linger until an explanation for Butler’s benching is provided. But that may not end the debate, especially if the explanation doesn’t fully explain something that perhaps can’t be.

Here is what I have heard the Browns are definitely found at the draft:

They are taking a QB at 1. Definitely.
They are taking Barkley at 1. Definitely.
They are trading the 1 and taking their QB at 4. Definitely.
They really want Josh Allen and will take him at 1. Definitely.
They really like Sam Darnold and are taking him at 1. Definitely.
They love Baker Mayfield and will take him at 1. Or 4. Definitely.
They are taking a QB at.1.AND 4. Definitely.
Baker Mayfield's hands are too small and he is off their radar. Definitely.
They love Lamar Jackson and will trade down and take him. Definitely.
They will take Barkley at 4 if he is available. Definitely.
They are taking Chubb at 4 if he is available. Definitely.
They are taking Minkah Fitzpatrick at 4 if he is available. Definitely.
They are trading the 4.to Buffalo for three first rounders. Definitely.
They are trading the 4 to Arizona. Definitely.

From which I have concluded they are taking Josh Rosen at 1 and Denzel Ward at 4.

If Weaver plays his cards right, and trade out of the #1 and #4, the Browns can probably get both Callahan and Vonte Mack
