KP's worst game this year.

have to do better than this.

I know Chip is going to sentence me to eternal damnation, but somebody had to ask the following questions:

Is KP becoming a bust now that everybody knows how to defend and attack him?

Is KP just a nice/very tall player with glaring limitations?

Is KP really the unicorn/superstar we all made him out to be?

Not that anyone thought we could win but a very lethargic, unmotivated effort tonight. Troubling after several days off and playing on our home court.

I still think this team shits the bed and falls out of playoff contention, never recovering from this month.

This is KZ's 1st year as the #1 option.
Tough going against savvy vets like LMA.
KZ was never going to have a full year like his first month+
Ups and downs to be expected.
He's just 22.
And his defense has improved a lot this year.

Teams make adjustments.
Up to KZ and the coaches to make counter-adjustments.
Also, it will help when Tim Jr returns, as he adds another offensive threat.

Knix played a good 1st half.
But the last 3 or 4 minutes got sloppy and threw passes away, and lost their lead.
2nd half they looked tired.  Started fouling a lot.

Horny tried Jack and Sessions together in the 4Q.
Franc didn't have a good game.

The "falls out of contention" part will be based on how Miami, Philly and Indiana do.

So.....is Beasley too old to play 32 minutes a night?

Sure would take pressure off he other scorers

I’d run KP off curls rather than post him up at this point. He was losing his legs and his balance tonight, eating time and space trying to go where he wanted to go. I’d save the post catches for Kanter and Beasley at this point. The drawn fouls almost make it worth it, but not quite.

The "falls out of contention" part will be based on how Miami, Philly and Indiana do.

IND has been losing with Oladipo out.
I think MIA has 14 of the next 17 on the Road.
PHI has trouble closing games.  And Winning without Embiid.
Of course the Knix smell funny on roadtrips.

It's pretty wide open.
Also, one of MIL, DET, WAS could fizzle and drop (but probably just into the 3rd tier, not out of the playoffs).

Whizz shot nearly 60% FG.
Yikes
And just 61% on FT's.
If they made more FT's it could've been worse.

I think it was last year when Knick opponents were something like 28th in FT%.  Knix with good FT defense ...

OKC blewout the slumping Lakes.
Funny, yesterday I almost typed Free T Ferg!
About time they tried him as a starter.
Abrines  was cutting it as a Roberson fill in.
And Roberson hasn't helped the iffy offense.
