34% / 33% / 28% = Monk's first three years 3Pt%.
Not exactly progress. He was a poor shooting SG who offered nothing else and was a significant minus on D. Which is why CHA gave up on him, and he only started 1 game there in 4 years. And why Monk is currently on a 1 year minimum salary contract.
Still quite young at 23, and just looks mentally tougher/engaged than previously.
We'll see if he's figured things out, or it's just a hot streak, or contract year dedication. But it sure is nice to play with LeBJ, who draws a crowd and hits guys with perfect passes when they are open.
Monk was the #11 pick in 2017. 3 picks after NYK swiped Franc and two picks after Dennis Smiff Jr. Next 3 picks after Monk = Kennard, Donovan Mitchell, Bam (12-14).
Some good Bigs lower down: John Collins #19, Jar Allen #22, OG 23, Kuz 27.
Zach Collins was taken #10, just ahead of Monk. He's close to returning for SAS after two years of injuries. Spurs could use his size.
