1st team All-NBA first 8 or more years of their career:

Pettit - 10 years
Bird  -   9 years
Oscar -  9 years
Duncan - 8 years

Any guesses on the other guy who did it 8 years in a row to start his career?  Most recent guy to do it.  Not long retired

Quite an achievement to be considered the best at your position Y1 on through the next 7+ seasons.

Cuts out teenagers such as Kobe, LeBJ, KG.
Jordan was 2nd team in his rook year, then limited to 17 games Y2 after he broke his foot.  Wilt got blocked twice from 1st team by Russ.

I'm guessing his international play did it.  His NBA career was okay and at times very good.

Sorry Yank, my picks are pretty much exactly the same as yours. I strongly considered Sixers all the way to the Finals, I think they look great. But I think Toronto has another gear (Boston does too, but I'm pessimistic they find it).

It looks like neither of us love the Nuggets.

I thought PHI looked shaky at the end of the season.  Embiid not running well.  Never figured out a bench rotation or who to trust.  Mike Scott seems to be 6th man and he's a classic mistake player (including dumb fouls).  Amir and Jon Simmons were never given much run.  Do they trust Bolden over Amir in the playoffs? McConnell's role didn't seem settled.  Zhaire and Shaky Milton don't look ready.  Poor bench play could kill them.

I also have a Raps - Warriors Finals.
Been with that for over a month now.
Don't trust good teams with little experience -- MIL, DEN, PHI.

I just can't get excited about teams lacking the requisite experience. Same issue with Milwaukee.

Philly I think has the most talent in the East, but it's hard to gel when you're best five - possibly the only five you really trust, plus maybe TJ - have only played 10 games together.

I'm not entertaining the Warriors not winning. Let's see if I'm wrong.

UTA played a frustrating game against the Rockettes.
They made a lot of careless, bad passes.  But also 2 or 3 where the catcher just took his eye off the ball, or the zip on the pass was a little too much.  mnay of these occurred 3Q when they were trying to keep close.

Also, Harden picked up his 4th foul with 7:19 left in the 3Q.
And UTA never tried to take advantage.
Once Gobert posted Harden, got the ball, and HOU was called for a defensive 3 secs.  [Don Mitchell missed the Tech FT].   A few minutes later Gobert with the ball in the post v. Harden and merely passed out.  <sigh>

I thought they should have spent effort exploiting Harden.
Either draw a 5th foul on him and make him sit, or he plays cautious D and thy score.  Harden so integral to HOU's whole effort.  Plus making Harden work on D isn't a bad way to try to slow down his O.  It was a 7 point HOU lead when Harden got his 4th foul.  7:19 left in 3Q.  Harden stays in for another 5:20 and it's a 12 point lead when he exits with 1:55 left.

Quinn the Mighty Coach didn't try that.
Maybe it wouldn't have mattered, as HOU's bench ups the lead to 17 v. UTA's bench before harden returns 4Q.
But the 3Q was an opp that UTA blew.  Should have tried to tag a 5th foul on Harden to change the outlook.

Otherwise Jingles needs to be more aggressive.  While Rubio spotting up in the corner doesn't scare anyone.
