That was a 7-game war. With an intensity level that was off the charts.

Tatum is a super-star but Smart is the soul of the Celts

what a stupendous player

A winner

Smart just locked down whoever he was on.
And had a pretty key block when Normative Powell tried to force a fast break against a few Celts.

Just caught a replay of the last 5 minutes of the 4Q and OT.

Butler struggled and couldn't make a thing in OT after his big 3 to end the 4Q.
But then muscled in a tough drive over Tatum with the and 1.
Butler came through twice in the dead clutch (last 30 secs of reg and OT).

That Adebayo block was ridiculous to end an OT playoff game.  Great play.

OT was pretty ragged with a bunch of fouls, turnovers, missed shots.  I imagine some players were tired.

I saw MIA 3x in bubble play and what stood out: Dragic was spry zooming all over the place, Herro was very poised, Crowder was solid.  And you figure with Bam and Butler, plus Duncan Rob's wildcard shooting, Heat were gonna be a tough out.
I think Dragic's renaissance was the key to unlocking their potential.  With Bam and Bulter's playmaking allowing Dragic to be more of a free agent out there, without having to be the playmaker.

Guess I wasnt loud enough

How much of Clips loss falls on Rivers?

PG ineffective - Lou 4-27 for series from 3, Zubac low minutes - lack of effective sets - seemingly a playground ball O mentality and no defensive scheme answer to Nuggets effective play.

DWIGHT is RIGHT

Howard essentially was a star in his role, playing at a high level, seemingly driven by just being able to provide the Lakers a lift in the Western Conference finals against a Nuggets team playing with big centers.

He played 16 impactful minutes during the Lakers’ 126-114 victory over Denver on Friday night, more than he did in the entire second-round series against the Houston Rockets

Game 2 Celts-Heat was really enjoyable.
Nice chess match.

A bit odd how BOS was relying on its PG's -- Kemba and Wanamaker -- for so much scoring.  Butler made a number of terrific plays, especially on D.

Jaylen made two late key 3's but then missed a wide open corner 3 at the end.
They got it to the hot hand and open, just didn't go down.
Fine game.

G3 I just caught a replay of 2Q & 4Q.
MIA upped their intensity too late.
Missed 15 straight 3's ... yikes.

Consensus is Lakers got a good whistle yesterday after flooding the league with emails

In particular the Milsapp foul on the AD jumper and the no call with about 2 minutes left as Murray drove on Bron.

2 do or die Game 5s hopefully leading to Game Sixes

I thought Bam would bounce back.  Was that a career high?

I said that MIA would need contributions form Duncam Roba nd Tyler hero to go deep int he playoffs.  And despite Duncan's accuracy and Herro's poise, I wasn't sure they could perform at a high level in the playoffs.  They certainly came through, and when they do, MIA is much more dangerous.  Makes them a complete team.

BOS could have used a little more vet presence.  Kemba hasn't gone far in the playoffs before.  Haywire still isn't up to full throttle.    Good deep run for a young team.  Smart - Brown - Tatum are as good a young core as any in the League.    A good learning experience.  They really keep the ball moving and play hard on D.  Just couldn't get 3's to drop 4Q of G6.

Speaking of vet presence -- 3 cheers for Iggy.  Great move ditching oft-injured offensively challenged Justise Winslow for Iggy and Crowder.  Sometimes you just need some MEN out there.
