Didn't know that.
But Tim has had a variety of leg issues the past few years.
Seems a bad ankle now.

This "5 Prediction" article  on Tim is pretty accurate:
https://thesmokingcuban.com/2019/09/20/dallas-mavericks-2019-tim-hardaway-jr-predictions/
Mentions his injury woes.
Though I'm not sure about the in-season trade prediction.
That one surprised me.

I think Morris has a good deal of value.
A vet who plays hard, with an inside-out game.
SA/Pops wanted him.  He's done pretty well, despite the lack of PG play in NY.
Morris would fit very nicely in POR, UTA, and other spots.

Just a matter of working out a deal.
POR should be tempted by:
Morris, Taj, a PG = Simons, Whiteside, 1st rounder.

Taj fills in until Nurk returns.
Morris starts at PF -- they've been starting Zonja and using Rod Hood there a fair amount -- until Zach returns.

Come playoffs:
Lillard - ex Knick PG (let's say Elf)
McCol - Bazemore
Morris - Hood
Zach - (Morris) - Zonja
Nurkic - Taj

That's a pretty deep talented team.
Would cost us 3 vets to get pup Simons and a late 1st round pick.
Whiteside an ending deal.

And there can be other deals out there.
Other options.

As for Morris - he will likely stay if we offer the most, so if we LIKE HIM, fuck - keep the guy and offer the most.

I'd push for Simons or look for other deals.
I think Morris could really be an important piece for POR, UTA, ...
Especially if we traded him to POR around Dec 15, before their season was totally shot.

Mud & Jeff Green of all people led a big UTA home comeback.
Nets prone to giving up big leads.  And this time Kyrie couldn't hit the end game shot.  Mud was getting things done, mostly midrange and getting fouled.

When they brought Conley back in (around 5 min mark), the offense got stagnant again, though they did enough to hold on.  I think you have to bring back in your starting PG, especially as riding your hot backup too long could lead to him wearing out.  Tricky, but I think you need to finish with your best.

Rough game for Uber.  0-5, a few turnovers, 4 fouls in 20 mins.  Didn't see it.  Maybe he was tasked with guarding LeBJ?  I'm guessing foul trouble kept his mins down, but probably in combo with poor play.  Suns have been competitive all season.  Rubio and Baynes have been a huge help.  Booker doing great with a PG running mate.

Hate to say it - and of course Walker is playing with better personnel - but Bankshot was right about Walker vs Kyrie.....

Givin in time - but Nets should win that one last night, have to close better.

I ragged Kyrie's leadership all last year.
There's already been talk that he's an a**hole at times in BKY.
Moody seems to be the preferred team manner of semi-acknowledging he can be a hassle and disruptive.

Not to mention that he's largely a 1-on-1 player with poor defense.
Guy's got great individual skills.  But needs a Big Brother like LeBJ kicking his butt at times.

Likely to be a mediocre up and down season for BKY.
They could make the playoffs since the East is weak.
And next year they'll have a moody, rehabbing, sometimes frustrated KD.   I don't see good times for the Nets.

Wonder why Kurucs isn't playing?
Hurt?

Quote
Rockets guard Eric Gordon set to miss four-to-six weeks after he undergoes an arthroscopic procedure on his knee, .

With Gordon out and Danuel House considered to be doubtful for Wednesday’s game vs. the Clippers due to a bruised back, Ben McLemore and Austin Rivers stand to take on the lion’s share of those minutes.

Seemed something was wrong, so not surprised Commissioner Gordon has some injury trouble.  He's been very sub-par and has had health issues in the past.  When healthy, he's pretty damn good.  Nice late career resurgence in HOU.

I often say that Brandon Roy and Gordon were the missing generation of star SG's -- both with injuries in their primes.  You had Kobe, Wade, Vince and then had to wait for Booker and Donovan Mitch.  Beal and McC coming along nicely.  Harden has been a link between them, though he's become a combo G.

SG became a weak position as scoring PG's came to dominate.

Nets built a culture in Brooklyn.  Credit to them.  But they cashed it in to lure Kyrie and Kevin, thus selling their souls.

I came in here to note that Shump signed with BKY.
They could use more defense at the G spot.

I didn't realize Shump was out of the League.  Just 29, but trouble staying healthy.

Is there anywhere that lists the players who drop out of the league?
(retirees, exiles to int'land, FA's never picked up)

Didn't realize I left this Trivia Q hanging.

There's one more Net who scored 50 or more points.
In fact, 52 points in April 1982.
A former Knick.

The list of all 7 Nets who scored 50 or more is here

47 for Harden, shooting well over 40% from behind the arc since it was posted here that he was struggling.

12 and 20 for Capela, who is "not that good" and "not worth his contract".

heh

Rockets-Lakers should be a hoot this year.  Hope it goes seven.

Did they overrate Dinwiddie?  What;s with Musa and Kurucs?  Are they part of this?  Seems they are way in the back seat

Allen is legit - and Prince was a heady acquisition.  Atkinson is a placeholder, though a good one.
