Popovich did it again.  Up 3, doesn't foul.  Yep - overtime.

Good game,  Suns playing ok without Booker

Uber K!

Then a disaster to end OT.

Painful loss for PHX.

NBA Trivia.

Name the top 5 teams in terms of 3Pt%.

I was pretty surprised by the list.

I knew that HOU was off this year with Westbrook replacing CP3, Commissioner Gordon unable to answer the Red Rocket phone, and even Harden doing more damage from FT-land than from deep.

After that, I didn't have much clue which teams were knocking down 3's at a good clip.  The bottom 10 makes a lot of sense and would be easier to guess, methinks.

The Latvian Invasion continues:
7'2" Andzejs Pasecniks just made his debut for WASH.
Hopefully his nickname isn't AP.

Btw, Bertans, who Kam laughed at recently, is having a great shooting season.  Last I saw he was 2nd in the League in 3-Pointers made.  Only behind Harden, but Bertans shoots 46% to Harden's 36%.

While Kurucs is just coming up on 22 years of age, and could be had from a crowded Nets team . . .

I didn't laugh at Bertans. I just questioned your assertion that Washington wouldn't want Randle over Davis.

All 11 Wizards who played had a turnover.
26 for the team.

Why they started Mahinmi and Thos Bryant together is unfathomable.

Ubermench with a career high 39 on great shooting (7-9 on 3's; 7-10 on 2's),  added 9 boards and 2 blocks.   But the no assists really worry me ...

PHX dismantled Westbrookless Rockettes.
If Uber gets more consistent on 3's, he'll be super-dangerous.

He's up to 46% FG. 37% on 3's. 79% FT.  Averaging over 36 mpg the past 2+ months.

Last 3 games: 90 points on 15-22 triples.

NBA TV ratings down double-figures
« Reply #386 on: February 19, 2020, 01:08:40 PM »

Quote
11 teams can’t even get a 1.00 rating locally, including both New York teams (0.85 for the Knicks on MSG and 0.45, the league’s third-lowest mark, for the Nets on YES)

Nets stand to have the biggest increase next season with a healthy squad.

I can see that to finish out the regular season if necessary, and maybe in just a few cities.  But it's kind of hard to imagine that during the playoffs.  Also, that's probably a couple million dollars lost per fanless game.  Contingency planning makes sense though.

China shut down its entire basketball league.
It wasn't easy for foreign players to get clearance to play elsewhere since the CBA was officially on hold and the season not cancelled.   Ex-Knick Chasson Randle had a hard time getting his FIBA clearance, but finally his Chinese team relented -- probably costing him some money -- and he signed a 10-day contract with the Lakers (I think it was).
