Well, all the teams I'm rooting for have been winning.

Only saw 2nd half of Rocks-Paper-Lakers.
the LeBrons were pretty meek in that 4Q.
Also when they were down double digits mid 4Q, almost every possession went deep into the shot clock.  Which helped HOU burn clock and limit possessions.  But also meant Lakes didn't get good looks.  Little movement, both player and ball.

PJ Tuck was a Man.
Westbrook and Commissioner Gordon extended the lead while Harden rested 4Q.
AuRevoir had a good game.
And my Jeff Green Theory is suffering -- I usually say whoever plays Jeff Green in the playoffs loses, as he has Tim Thomas Syndrome.  But he's mostly played well (with a no show or two, which is acceptable when you're a bench guy).

Rockettes kept leaving Rondo open.  He hit 2-5 triples, but a couple times he got it wide open and passed up the shot, wasting more clock time.  Havign Rondo out there allows HOU to clog the paint and prevent driving lanes for LeBJ and AD.

Very late and needing scoring, Vogel went with Waiters over JEarl, likely because Waiters can create his own shot.

Love MIA going up 3-0 -- need to read up how that happened.
Right now, I can stream games live, but don't have any reliable way of watching replays.  All the sites want me to download some Google Chrome extension, which I can't get to Google.  Maybe if I use a different browser...

That was without question the worst game the Celts have played in 6 months.

F-ugly game

Not really a fan of seeing which team can make the better % of long-range jumpers.
More than half of DEN's FG's were 3's.
BOS clanked theirs.  Game.

Ugly game for Jaylen.  11 3-pt FGA's and zero assists.
And when I watched, Siakim was scoring on him this game.

Interesting how young and inexperienced BOS is.
Kemba a genuine vet at 30; Theis a Euro-vet at 28 but just 2nd NBA season.
Bench: Wanamaker 31 but also 2nd season; Kanter 28 but doesn't playoff much.
Next up is Smart 26.  Ojeleye 3rd year 25.
Brown 23; Tatum 22.  Robt Williams 22; Grant Will 21.

NBA Rookie Trivia:

Name the only rookie who scored more points in the playoffs than Jayson Tatum did in his first season.

Tatum scored 351 points in 19 playoff games.
The rookie leader scored 352 playoff points in just 10 games.

10 games is a deep run for a high scoring rookie

I'd go with KA Jabbar

Sorry, it was Lew Alcindor.
But you were awfully close ...
(he changed his name to start his 3rd year)

Kareem was remarkably consistent in his rook playoff run.
Scoring between 33-38 pts 8 of 10 games -- and 33 points 4x.
He closed out his first series with a 46 Pt & 25 rebound game
But had just 27 when the Knix knocked his team out.
Kareem had a 38 / 25 / 11 triple double in G2 v. NYK that year
Followed that up with an insane 33 & 31 in G3, MIL's only win in that series.

Getting back to the question, the rookie playoff scoring list is interesting.
#3?  Alvin Adams (341 in 19 games)
4 Elgin Baylor (331 in 13 games)
5. Mikan 303 in 10 games
10. Donovan Mitchell 268 in 11 games

Bo corrects for spelling.

As i was eating lunch, I gave the question some thought, and then just took a quick look to confirm my suspicions.

There are at least a couple of rookies who scored more than Alcindor or Jabbar in the post-season.

One was a strong suspect, and one I was surprised but not shocked by.

any guesses

Didn’t Duncan win a chip his first year? Gives him a lot of games w a pretty prominent role.

Edit: nope and nope.

According to basketball reference the answer is no one.

I posted the link earlier to the answer.

while this is your question verbatim, I thought about it and presented it in a slightly different manner.

There are at least three rookies (one being KAJ) who scored more points than Tatum's 351.
