Buddy Hield lives!  Just needed to start.
Actually, Gentry in CV jail; Doug Christie coached them and started Hield.
Hield only had 5 Pts before banging in 2 late 3Q treys, then an 18 Point 4Q explosion.

Looks like a great game from TyH with Fox & friends (Dav Mitchell, etc) out.
Go ahead and make the Fox for Simmons trade . . .

My All-Bo team: Brogdon - TyH - Scottie Barnes - Dray Green & I need a C (maybe Mobley).

League has the G-leaguers to fall back on.  Interesting to see if thy go that route.  Almost every team has a minor affiliate.   (I think it was all but one a few years ago).

v. LAkes, DeRozan barely let any other Bull touch the ball last 5 minutes.
He was shooting every time without giving it up.
Finished with 38 points without taking one 3-pointer. Extremely rare these days.
Just relying on 14-18 footers.  And FT's.  LeBJ was fouling DeMar a bunch.
DeRozan has to be in the MVP convo.
Who expected the Bulls to be a top tier East team?

No one has taken more mid range shots than DeRozan

Quote
"This is the most disappointed I've been in 34 years in the NBA," Gentry told reporters following the 127-102 loss. "I can honestly say that. That performance was absolutely ridiculous. We didn't play hard. We didn't compete. We gave up 19 offensive rebounds for -- I don't know -- 37 points or some astronomical figure. We didn't guard the ball. We didn't guard screen and rolls. We didn't follow the game plan -- all of those things -- and to be honest with you, it's the most disappointing game that I've been involved with."

And then the next two games, TyH has been the PG with Fox playing off the ball.
Now Fox is a weak defender and poor outside shooter.  Having him spot up in the corners and elbows makes no sense.  Sure looks like Gentry is ready to move on from Fox.  We'll see if the front office is ready to blow things up.

SacKings have the 29th ranked Defense.  Fox, Hield and a lack of rim protection has much to do with that.

Fox is a stud

Nice little 7 game run where he shot 54 per cent (4 wins) - before having to miss the next 4 (1-3)

Kings 1-1 since his return.  Get the late national game tonight

I honestly think you have never been more wrong on a player

29th in D.
Losing record every year.
Why is TyH playing PG these days?
Fox is the new Westbrook (not in a good way), though with half the effort.
Loser.

You get caught up with flashy low-efficiency scorers who play bad D and can't run a team.
Tangelo, Fox, Westbrook ...

Watching Kings v DAL now.
Fox with frequent bad defense.
Goes under a screen and leaves Brunson extremely wide open for a straight on 3.
Picked up two fouls getting caught on screens.
Dribbles into a double team and gets stripped.
Had two transition layups and twice got fouled on post-ups but went just 2-4 FT's.

Fox played defense like one of those guys who never plays defense and then overdoes it while making a show of defending.  Melo used to do that.  He'd suddenly show high effort on D and overdo it and foul frequently.  Defense is about consistency, reliability, angles and teamwork.  It's not making a display of being physical and fouling.

Anyway, Fox had the winning assist.  One thing tyH needs to work on is kicking out to the perimeter.  TyH is good at getting into the paint and dumping off to a Big, especially Holmes in the lane for a 8-10' flip shot.  Or Bagley along with baseline.  But TyH needs to be able to hit open outside shooters too.

Beautiful late sequence (D to O) for Fox last night, leading to the game winner

Well-played game.

Kings 2 games out of seventh.

Interesting move by Gentry as well. to not foul.

27.8 on clock, Mavs ball, Kings down 2.

If Porzingis just hits the rim with his shot Kings likely have just 2 ticks or less left, rather than the 3.8 after the 24 second violation.

KP played well, yakked it at the end.  A much better player without Luka.

Worked out for Alvin -a nd Kings had a party.

Good coaching.  Team was on fire in terms of effort last night in their second straight W since the speech.

On the rise.  Deal coming?  Not sure.  And not sure Knicks fit into it in any way if Kings did deal (luke warm on adding Hield at this point)

That wasn't KZ's fault.  Brunson waited too long, didn't warp the defense at all, and then passed to KZ's knees with 3 on the shot clock.

Last minute, DAL twice went at Fox for profit.  First, Brunson drove and got an easy short shot. Then they got Fox switched on to KZ and KZ forced a foul with a quick move for 2 FT's.

TyH has a suspicious habit of driving, jumping in the air and making last second passes while airborne.  He's good at it, but those are turnovers waiting to happen, especially in the playoffs, if SacKings ever get there.
