So ESPN was talking today about how the tournament needs to be extended further into April because they really need best of three so you're sure to get the true champion. Why? Because their Duke Zion Williamson narrative fell apart.

The tournament became the torment for them.

But what MAKES the tournament great is that is one and done.

Do quit whining, ESPN.

We like "upsets"!

If your criticism is not enough lower seeds... is that the committee's fault? 

On the other hand the final four is quite well spread

Wasn't a criticism, just an observation.
I don't follow college ball much at all, but the lack of upsets seems rather rare.

IIRC I had 12 of the Sweet 16 teams

and ended up with a Final Four

of a 

1

3
6

and my 2 was from Michigan

and went 0 for the Final 4.

my crystal ball had a team from Michigan meeting an East Coast power that started with the letter "V"  in the finals

so shall it be:

Cavs v the "300" spar Monday night.

Just checked and I had a Texas team (Houston) meeting a Michigan squad on Monday.

Seems I was a round late for that collegiate Armeggedon.

Clearly my crystal ball, and confirmed by my ouija board, Tarot vards and celestial alignment seems to indicate the winner of Sparties-TTech will be the national champ.

Good game.  Texas Tech was great.  Hats off to them.

Virginia did not face any the toughest competition this bracket. 

But they made the most of the breaks.

Udoka Azubuike with what must be an extremely rare feat.
His FG% was more than double his FT%.  70.5% to 34.4%, respectively.
Only played in 9 games his Jr year due to a wrist injury.   
Maybe he hurt his wrist dunking so much, that he couldn't make his FT's(?)

It’s Time for Black Athletes to Leave White Colleges
They attract money and attention to the predominantly white universities that showcase them, while HBCUs struggle. What would happen if they collectively decided to go to black schools?

I started reading this a little skeptically.
But was won over by midway through.

The NCAA reported $1.1 billion in revenue for its 2017 fiscal year. Most of that money comes from the Division I men’s-basketball tournament. In 2016, the NCAA extended its television agreement with CBS Sports and Turner Broadcasting through 2032—an $8.8 billion deal. About 30 Division I schools each bring in at least $100 million in athletic revenue every year. Almost all of these schools are majority white—in fact, black men make up only 2.4 percent of the total undergraduate population of the 65 schools in the so-called Power Five athletic conferences. Yet black men make up 55 percent of the football players in those conferences, and 56 percent of basketball players.

A Billion Dollars sloshing around and the talent/labor force is working for free.  No wonder some of the top football and basketball coaches make the more the the university presidents.

The article also notes that a lot of the top high school recruits know each other form tourneys and could collectively decide to go to a black college together.  Get that to happen a few times and some of the big white powerhouses would be supplanted by black powerhouse colleges which could then upgrade their facilities and take in some of the wealth.

What it might take is getting LeBron or recently retired Wade to recruit kids to a black university.  That'd make it easier.
