NM

Okay.   But then why not just delete?

I had a long post that for some technical reason did not post fully, and I tried to fix it, but the fix did not take, and I do not like to delete posts. It strikes me as less than forthright. So I NMed it instead, indicating my intention to post.

But my turn for a question.

Barton with all the interesting things to comment on, and add some content to, many issues which Tony brought up or kid brought up, why did you only comment on my post, which was likely the least offensive post posted in Elba since Hammy got booted for the high crime of insufficient empathy?

The jocular vein in which I posted clearly needed an emoticon.  No serious comment intended.   Really a play off the concept of "never mind. "

I've posted several times today on other comments,  as well as on bulk settlements to renters....that post directly preceded my unserious one.   I confess I don't often find much in Tony's posts that I can adequately address, brimful of idealism though they may be.

Without addressing whether Tony is serious/infantile/or a performance artist producing some demented off the wall art, his posts contain enough sexist, politically incorrect, religious intolerance that it should keep Elba's social justice warriors on their toes. They should be addressed.

I've wondered whether his Elba hall pass was a general concern over abusing the emotionally ill, which may be a legit concern. Consequently I try to handle his content politely but in a pointed manner, but I think my responses are clear, to his ramblings, which you call idealistic.

And you are entitled to characterizing Tony's posts however you like.

But I do not believe mental illness is an adequate excuse for sexist/religiously intolerant content not being called out and questioned, which I've started to do.

YMMV

When I get the time I will delete my truly offensive post that sparked your ire and interest.  :)

Today's trivia quiz:  How many times did "YIKES" escape Kid's cyber-lips at the great leader President Trump's shenanigans?

Thanks for the link, though!!!!

I love to star gaze at night. Out in the desert we had a great view of the night sky. Here in Anaheim, not so much.

I love Saturn, and the rings. You can see it from out in the desert.

And here are a few fun constellations from the Greeks...

Argo Navis...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argo_Navis

Cepheus...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cepheus_%28constellation%29

Lupus...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lupus_%28constellation%29

Those are a few. The Greeks are star gazers, I would love to go to Greece and star gaze and let them teach me about the night sky.

Salute,

Tony V.

I grew up on south shore of Long Island and I remember moonless nights spent offshore and out of light pollution range marveling at the mind blowing awesomeness.

Traveling to LA from NY I stopped somewhere in Nex Mexico around 2am and lay back on the hood of my car. It was magnificent, like being under a bowl of stars.

Very cool. :)

In Los Angeles we have the Griffith Park Observatory, and it is a special place. The Homeless people live in their cars in the parking lot. And you can watch the sun set over Hollywood.

I met Larry Flynt at the Griffith Park Observatory.

I love the night sky.

And sunsets at Griffith Park are great.

I can see you are still scratching your head as to why there has never been a republican President as good or as well loved as Carter Obama and now Biden

Do not scratch too hard as your head is already clearly most of the way off

It was not one scratch that broke the fascists neck but the million scratches before it

Memes are great but also punch fascists especially ones holding public office.

Jimmy Carter is the happiest man alive right now - as Biden's incompetence surpasses his.
