Lots of things are barbaric Bambi

Did something particular bring this to mind?

Texas abortion laws.
LOL at Texas...bans the termination of pregnancies after 6 weeks, but happily kills living human beings in its chambers of death.
Walks human beings into its death chambers, snuffs out their lives, and wheels them out dead.
Premeditated, cold-blooded, killing.

The Texas abortion law and the classist, sexist ruling by the SCOTUS underscores their disconnect with both prior decisions and the facts.

These draconian measures will not reduce the incidence of abortions in Texas. It will "simply" increase the loss of life by the poor, while allowing wealthy women to continue to do as they wish wrt getting abortions.

Yep.  And watch out for more of the shadow docket....

I am against abortion, and I support helping the orphans and the poor and the needy.

I support Texas for restricting abortions, and they also need to remember to increase aid to foster children, etc, there needs to be college scholarships for foster children, etc.

Tony, two points:

1) Texas and everywhere else, just about, has proven that blocking abortions does not lead to better foster or orphanage services. EVER.

2) Everywhere has proven that restricting abortions does not reduce the number of abortions, just the number of legal ones. It increases the number of deaths of pregnant poor women.

Oh, and 3) We have found the most effective way to reduce abortions and the GOP refuses to implement it in most places.

Because sex education, promoting women's rights,  and subsidized contraception is THE WORKSHOP OF SATAN.

Go ahead and have your baby, we will help you and we will help your baby.

It is sad when people think that the world is so cruel and cold and evil that they need to terminate a pregnancy and kill a baby.

The world is what we make it, and I do not want to live in a world that is so cruel and cold that people need to kill babies.

I support Texas for restricting abortions, and they also need to remember to increase aid to foster children, etc, there needs to be college scholarships for foster children, etc.

The movie studios need to hire the people who live in the neighborhoods around the studios to work there. People can train at the local schools, and then they can live in a neighborhood by a studio and they can walk to work.

Paramount Studios has a great little neighborhood around the studio, but they are treating the neighborhood wrong. Right now Paramount has a high fence around the studio and they keep the neighbors out. But, what they need to do is to invest the area by giving film school scholarships to the local youth, and they can also hire people from the local neighborhood.

And the same with the Occidental Studio in East Hollywood, they need to hire the people who live in the neighborhood to work at the studio.

The studios need to hire people who live in the neighborhoods around the studios.

Also, Anaheim needs a studio.

We have great schools, we have great neighborhoods, and the studios need to hire the locals.

Salute,

I've heard indirectly the SC decision has not really been covered on Fox.  They may have figured they may unleash a massive backlash among US women voters in 2022. They are like the dog who caught the car and now don't know what to do with it.

Heather Cox Richardson used that analogy,  too.   You may enjoy her "letter from an American" yesterday...
