Social is good though.

- Paid maternity leave for 6 weeks before, and for 6 weeks after, the birth....OK.
- Reasonable tax rate increase for billionaires...OK.
- Green energy introduced over time, cutting pollution etc...OK.
- Subsidised community college for low income families...OK.
- Subsidised public housing for low income/needy people (no drugs, no violence, ...respect the properties, clean them,  keep them nice, or you'll be booted out and they'll be allotted to other people)....OK.

There is broad and narrow definition of socialism.  Oil uses the broad (government regulation of means of production,  socialized medical care,  transportation infra,  etc) and most here use the narrow (government ownership of the MoP).   If we use the latter then,  yes,  Biden and the DP do not promote socialism.

Whatever happens they will call it a victory.

It will be. A massive program that will improve the lives of millions of regular Americans will be passed. It is not perfect and it is not as big as it should be, but the perfect cannot be the enemy of the good.

6% Inflation but only 2% growth while Biden  and the democrats debate raising taxes, even unconstitutional ones.
Thankfully 52 per cent of the US Senate can see what a lie Build Back Better really is.
