Did he check with moderate dems and republicans before he closed down the pipeline and opened the doors to mass migration?

Pipeline isn't built.   He didn't close anything.   Also,  there's an oil glut,  so tar sands crud is the last thing we need.   Even moderate conservatives question the need for Canadian oil.   And conservative farmers question toxic liquid bitumen flowing through their number one aquifer.   FFS,  get all the facts and stop politicizing everything.
America had a terrible week under Ole Joe

Tens of thousands of jobs lost in the oil industry
While promising to flood the recovering job market with illegal aliens
A disgusting decision to rejoin the Paris Accord( a reminder of the Obama strategy of leading from behind)
Executive action to destroy female sports
And a new goal for the COVID-19 vaccine that only matches what we are already doing.

Also, the America you love is being confined to central Florida via an inverse Trail of Tears to create an unnatural preserve called Crackerstan where you can continue to slink backwards on your belly toward the seventh century.

That actually makes it a great week, contrary to your feeble assertion.

Actually the pipeline represents modernity along with keeping out hordes of backward alien lawbreakers. If there is a national mandate run it through congress instead of issuing executive orders.

Luee, the pipeline approval process is and always has been an Executive Branch decision - that is what Congress chose to have be the path.

Obama blocked the lease, based on a combination of EPA data and State Department reports:
Quote
"...numerous State Department reviews concluded that construction of the pipeline would have little impact on whether that type of oil was burned, because it was already being extracted and moving to market via rail and existing pipelines. In citing his reason for the decision, Mr. Obama noted the State Department findings that construction of the pipeline would not have created a significant number of new jobs, lowered oil or gasoline prices or significantly reduced American dependence on foreign oil."

Biden was reversing a decision Trump made, but shockingly YOU didn't object to Trump's changing the status by executive order.

IOW, you don't give a fuck about executive orders unless they go against you.

China's National Health Commission on Sunday reported 19 additional cases had been detected in Hebei over the previous 24 hours. The far northeastern province of Heilongjiang reported another 29 cases, linked partly to an outbreak at a meat processing plant. Beijing, where around 2 million residents have been ordered to undergo new testing, reported two new confirmed cases.

China currently has 1,800 people being treated for COVID-19, 94 of them listed in serious condition, with another 1,017 being monitored in isolation for having tested positive for the virus without displaying symptoms.

So China at nearly 3000 known cases.

Angel mom slams Biden immigration order as 'spitting on the faces of every legal immigrant'

She's correct.

No, but you may be ill informed enough to think so.

Are you also on board with the stupid notion that somehow a pipeline is keeping out alien lawbreakers, or was that one the moronic bridge too far?

Many people fear that immigrants will undermine America’s economic and political system. That fear has animated opposition to immigration for centuries but has gone unexamined by social scientists until recently. This prompted me and Benjamin Powell to write a book examining that topic in detail. We found no evidence that immigrants undermine those systems and plenty that shows they support them more strongly than natives do.

Hold on to that last point.

The mob that attacked the Capitol in a violent Putsch attempt on Jan. 6, 2021, were virtually all native-born supporters of President Trump and his policies. The most significant and distinguishing policy of his administration was his opposition to immigration. In other words, the subset of people most concerned about immigrants overturning our economic and political systems tried to overturn our political system in a violent Putsch.

https://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/politics/535352-the-capitol-putsch-reminds-us-that-its-not-immigrants

Natives whites take America for granted. Immigrants know exactly what they're giving up to come here.  And for the most part they and their dream of making it here make America great.   We need more people who want to be here as opposed to people who think this land is their god given right, forgetting that they too are descended from immigrants.

Maybe the pipeline would be built on top of a wall.

I object to executive orders replacing congressional action. Biden and Trump are both overstepping. There should be an age limit as both seem to have lost touch with reality. This is a different Biden than the one that sat in congress or served under BHO. A very one sided, political power hungry Biden. Talk reconciliation than go radical fringe.

Been five days,  Lu.   Might want to wait a bit to see the trends of a new admin.

There are people on both right and left who object to the modern overuse of EO to enact policy.   While I agree, I also recognize that this overuse arose from the growing dysfunction of congress,  aka gridlock.

Democrats are planning to vote early and often in the new Congress, and to essentially dare Republicans to stand in their way on politically popular measures. In recent years, the fight over the momentum-halting filibuster in the Senate has centered on somewhat arcane issues like Cabinet and judicial confirmations. Going forward, look for arguments over the filibuster to instead focus on COVID-19 relief (which will almost certainly end up tied to the infrastructure bill) or a new Voting Rights Act.

If Republican senators hold those bills up by filibustering, Democrats would accuse them of standing in the way of helping Americans, or standing in the way of voting rights. Ending the filibuster would then be an easier sell.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2021/01/joe-biden-democrats-midterms-2022-obama/617716/

Yet despite Biden’s commitment to healing the country, he has little interest in following Obama’s lead in performative bipartisanship, like the year Obama spent chasing Republican votes for the Affordable Care Act—votes that never materialized. Biden’s instinct is to try compromise first, which is why he pushed back on Democrats who wanted to pass a coronavirus relief bill immediately, with or without Republican votes. Biden doesn’t want Democrats to go it alone without first trying to make a deal. If the GOP is seriously interested in uniting the country, he will eagerly engage. But if they use calmer rhetoric as a feint for obstruction, he is prepared to call that out...

WASHINGTON, Jan 22 (Reuters) - An oil-producing Native American tribe on Friday asked the U.S. Interior Department for an exemption from the recent temporary suspension of oil and gas leasing and permitting on federal and tribal lands, saying the move would hit its economy and sovereignty.

News Item

Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos, whose paper incessantly defended and promoted universal mail-in ballots during the 2020 presidential election, has suddenly (and predictably) transformed into a staunch opponent of them.

On Thursday his other company, Amazon, filed an appeal against a recent National Labor Relations Board ruling mandating that 6,000 of its employees who work at the company’s Bessemer, Alabama warehouse be allowed to participate in an upcoming unionization vote through mail-in ballots.

The ruling by the NLRB was based on the same debunked argument repeatedly cited by the Post last year that in-person voting is dangerous because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“A mail ballot election will enfranchise employees who cannot enter the voting location for health reasons or due to positive COVID tests,” the decision reportedly stated.

“In addition, a mail ballot election will protect the health and safety of voters, Agency personnel, the parties’ representatives, and the public during the current health crisis.”

Funny that you say that now, when you didn't object in 2017 when Trump undid Obama's block on the Keystone XL by executive order.

Neither did you complain about his age, that I recollect.

But that's fine, Luee. Reinventing history is the American way.

In this case, while Trump used a goodly number of EOs, at 220, it was less than 1/8th the highest number used in a single term. We've had TWELVE terms in which more executive orders have been issued than Trump used.

And he only used 10% more than Bill Clinton used in his first term.

As for your last preposterous claim, it's utter bullshit but just as you have not admitted that the pipeline decision is for the Executive Branch, not for Congress, I don't expect you will admit that you are wrong about "radical fringe."

Consider that maybe you are not the same Luee you were when Biden was in the Senate. But as of now, your inability to admit you are wrong on the pipeline for any the reasons listed puts you in the same class as Bambu and Ward.
