On the issue of helping the poor, not all of the poor people are poor because they are drug addicts or criminals, many people are poor because they are foster children, or they were raised by a single Mother, or other hard-ship. Some women become homeless while escaping abuse, etc. Not all of the poor people are poor because they are bad people.
And with our Latino immigrants, they are coming here from poor countries, and they are so desperate that even a job picking oranges is a great job that they are grateful to have. They are not bad people because they are poor, and they just got here from poor countries, many people arrive here in the USA with only the clothes that they are wearing.
I agree that there are bad people who do not deserve our compassion, but many poor people are good people, and just because they are poor and live in a poor apartment complex does not mean they are bad people.
Just because they are poor does not mean they are bad people.
