Oh, those polls: HALF OF REPUBLICANS WOULD NOT VOTE FOR TRUMP

64 per cent of Democrats do not favor Biden running again

And behind closed doors Dem leaders are asking Kamala for a promise that she will not run.

So which party is in worse shape?

The republican 2022 and 2024 platforms are officially locked in

Make American carnage again again

Kid thinks it could be a winner.

Kick everyone remotely like Kid, or he could be right.

Keep marching and keep kicking.

Republicans foundations and campaign groups are the rashist ammo dumps, rail heads, and command posts, key points in the authoritarian invasion we must defend ourselves against. I hope it stays on the level of the streets and the courts in the best American tradition, but hell or high water we have to crush the bastards.

He never really knew his mother, since he was 2 when she died.

Got any other myths we can explode for you?

To be fair, Hunter does view Jill as his mom, and the reference (if there is any evidence the bag of rocks diss really happened, outside of some adolescent v mom spat over car privileges) would have been to Jill.

Given the TBI and emotional trauma that Hunter suffered in the crash, it's likely he has little memory of Neilia.

Stereotype much?

Hispanics are leaving the democrat party in large numbers so Jill Biden attempted to assuage them with remarks before the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) in San Antonio.
The First Lady claimed that the Hispanic community is as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio while speaking at Latinx IncluXion Luncheon on Monday.

OOps!
Not a smart move before hispanic journalists.

NAHJ encourages Dr. Biden and her speech writing team to take the time in the future to better understand the complexities of our people and communities.
We are not tacos.
Our heritage as latinos is shaped by a variety of diasporas, cultures and food traditions, and should not be reduced to a stereotype.
We Are Not Tacos!

Someone wrote that speech, vetted it through advisors and pit it in her hands without hearing her say bodega.

Sometimes you step in it.

Hispanics are registering Republican because many of them believe they been assigned whiteness.

Yeah, that last part about Harris is bullshit.

ERCOT didn't think the Texas summer would be as hot as it actually is, says interim CEO

Is this an injustice?

https://www.essentiallysports.com/us-sports-news-swimming-news-she-let-down-the-country-michael-phelps-fans-left-disappointed-as-simone-biles-receives-presidential-medal-of-freedom-before-swimming-legend/

Maybe so.

Joe blew it.

I don't yet fully understand the criteria for the MoF selection.  Maybe.

If athletic accomplishments were the only criteria, then the MoF would differ little from the dozens of other medals that Phelps already has.  I don't think I'm ready to make firm comparisons on community service metrics on mental health, sexual assault victims, etc.  They both have made worthy contributions.  Does this particular selection of MoF winners mean that Phelps might not be awarded one at a later time?

Without utility scale battery systems there will be a bleak future for transitioning away from carbon.

What utter idiocy.
America is not  transitioning away from carbon.
Even Biden and Kerry admit it would be stupid if China et al kept building coal plants.

America today is awash in resources. But it has a lack of pipelines, refinery capacity, liquefaction capacity, ships and other supporting infrastructure to move energy supplies to meet booming demand in the world.

What it needs is a carbon tax so oil and gas industries, and their infrastructure suppliers, would be  free to invest in all the energy we want at a decent after-tax price.

Then the ignorant media would have to admit that climate change is not the end of the world, and the science never said it was.
