Native Wyomingites are people who are either zero or one generation away from people who chopped their heating fuel, pumped their water, and moved the brooder house without getting a permit from the county. The conservatism derived from that was honest, albeit naive. Liz, in spite of a dad in whom conservatism curdled, got a little ideological DNA from the Old Wyoming. Too bad most of the OW got coopted by the slick talk from the Newt/Tea/Trump hucksters. But 29% still backed Liz, and 5% a non-Trump puppet, so I guess there's still some OW left.
(I realize, after referencing a brooder house, that "coopted" would have benefited from a diaeresis, so that one isn't tempted to read it as a dipthong. I do not trust the Elba editor, however, with either diaeresis or umlauts.)
