No, this issue has invigorated me. Country is falling apart time to sound the alarm. Save my country. I am not alone.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has raised eyebrows by publicly vowing to deport anyone who comes across the border illegally during the Biden administration if he wins the White House next year.

Elon Musk suggests a Trump-style wall should be built at the US-Mexico border to control immigration.

Sending back 6-7 million expensive but worth every penny.

Even liberals are noticing the hypocrisy of democrats appointing black women to political vacancies.

LA Times Coumnist LZ Granderson blasted Democrats who pledge to appoint Black women to score political points with the public, scorning this maneuver as a manipulative electoral
quid pro quo
that makes these women look unqualified to earn their place.

There is an establishment core to the Democratic Party that weaves together anti Blackness and misogyny, which leads to a mindset in which Black women are qualified enough to carry democracy yet somehow unqualified to earn their place in the nation s highest offices. Instead of pledging to appoint Black women, the national party and Democratic leaders should be pledging to get more elected.

When climbing a mountain, footholds are helpful.  Giving an underrepresented group a foothold is one of the ways to "get more elected."  So, granted that some politicians may do such appointments for cynical reasons, it still helps that group climb the larger mountain.
When did politics ever get done from only pure motives?

On the subject of political appointments:
It was Barton du jour who recently wrote

Who elects these clowns, exactly? As it turns out, almost none of us.
Getting Americans to vote in primaries would be one of the most powerful reforms possible of our broken system.

Kamala Harris ran for democrat nominee for President in 2020 and was embarrassingly ignored by primary voters. She dropped out having not won a single delegate.

Yet the insiders in the party ( none of the voters) nominated her for vice President and now this clownsits a heartbeat away from being President.

I like Kamala she seems more moderate and mainstream in contrast to most of sleepy Joe's backers. She told the crowd at the border to just stay home. Putting herself in the crosshairs iof the left fringe. She Was elected Cal. DA, and Senator and is highly qualified by any standard. She is much more than a token black lady appointee. At this point in their careers would probably make a better president. Not saying too much though. He did defeat Trump and that is about all I would give him credit for.

Until we have  a President who cares about a growing society based on economic fairness and a 90 percent top marginal tax rate which has produced the greatest society, we will not have a secure future.

It is always good to see folks like Red write off the republican party. They have exactly as much impact on the future of America as any other infestation of rats.

I like Condoleezza Rice, she needs to speak up, we need her voice in the forum of ideas. And it is great that she is teaching at Stanford.

Salute,

Tony V.

She is also nearing 70 and has other interests, like being an owner of an NFL team.
