Biden needs to reach across the Isle to George W. Bush and to Jeb Bush and to other powerful Republicans to bring our immigrants out of the shadows and to make our immigrants legal like Reagan did, so that our immigrants will be protected by our laws and so that they can call the police in the case of an emergency, and also so they can join Labor Unions and so they can be protected by OSHA and by our labor laws, etc. We need to bring our immigrants out of the shadows and we need to make them legal like Reagan did. And then we need to write a new Immigration Law which includes a Good Neighbor Policy.

The asshole Republicans in the Senate who want to fight against Biden instead of working together to help the poor immigrants and our people need to be ashamed of themselves. Our immigrants are human beings, and Mexicans are human beings, it is bad when they punish human beings to advance their own political position instead of helping people.

And Trump is an asshole, he is rich, he could have been donating schools and libraries in Mexico and he could have been making friends in Mexico, but Trump just wants to be an asshole.

George W. Bush, and Jeb Bush, and Condoleezza Rice, they understand, the Republicans and Democrats need to work together to help the poor immigrants instead of fighting over politics.

If electric cars are the future then the market will render that decision.

Markets can't make decisions on matters of public interest, like saving the planet.  That requires governments to craft policies and laws that are in that public interest, based on a pool of expertise that is independent of corporate influence.  We don't have catalytic converters because corporations woke up one day and said, hey let's reduce tailpipe emissions AND horsepower, man that will really draw the customers!  People weren't walking into their Chevy dealer and asking, hey do you all have something that reduces CO, nitrogen oxides, and hydrocarbons in my exhaust gas while cutting horsepower?  Libertarians and the Invisible Hand didn't reduce smog in thousands of cities.  That was our government, pooling the expertise of thousands of chemists, engineers and atmospheric scientists, and crafting a policy in the interest of ordinary citizens trying to breathe.

Catalytic converters were the direct result of public alarm over Smog( air pollution).
It was identifiable and obvious.(had been for decades)
Congress and the automobile industry responded and gasoline prices went up but we adapted.
Today there is no consensus on the threat of climate change and absolutely no proof that the elimination of gasoline driven autos will have any net positive effect on the environment since electricity is generated to large degrees by fossil fuels.( and will continue).

Congress passed the clean air act and industry developed the catalytic converter.
