Australia is a perfect place to have solar farms and probably wind turbines.Vast empty spaces, large desert areas.Without even considering the health damage caused by coal-burning pollution and the environmental harms of coal extraction, renewable energy is cheaper than coal.21st C clean energy v. 19th C dirty energy.At this point coal represents entrenched interests trying to extract as much money as possible and slow down change before their business model is obsolete.With leadership, I'd imagine OZ could transition off of coal entirely in a 5-10 year time frame. 10-15 years and be fully weaned off fossil fuels for electricity.Biden should reinstall solar panels on the WH roof.
