Seems I've interupted Larry and Uno aggressively flirting.

Get a room

Kevin McCarthy channels a a blast from the past as he would like to sweep his party's involvement in sedition and treason under the rug.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy privately made a blunt appeal to his colleagues in the aftermath of the divisive fight to impeach former President Donald Trump: Stop attacking each other and instead focus on Democrats.

"Cut that crap out," McCarthy told his members, according to two sources on the call. McCarthy said he's had personal discussions with individual members and warned that a continued GOP vs. GOP battle will only benefit Democrats as his party aims to recapture the majority in next year's midterms.

Although I thougt the original Ben Franklin appeal to political cooperation made a stronger personal appeal.

we must all hang together, or ... we shall all hang separately,"

While hanging might be a little severe nowadays, the Republican's acts of sedition and treason has to be investigated and eventually punished.

Perhaps we should borrow from our English ancestors and put less serious offenders in a pillory and pelted with rotten eggs, fruit etc and perhaps put more serious criminals on prison ships bound for Australia.

Fuck it hang them.

And leave them up for the birds.

The vultures would probably turn away and not devour the remains.

Professional courtesy.

We had to take our shoes off before flying for almost 2 decades after one shoe bomber, but yeah let's go back to having a walmart greeter at the capitol after hundreds of anti-government militia attacked capitol police.

Australia is a perfect place to have solar farms and probably wind turbines.
Vast empty spaces, large desert areas.
Without even considering the health damage caused by coal-burning pollution and the environmental harms of coal extraction, renewable energy is cheaper than coal.

21st C clean energy v. 19th C dirty energy.

At this point coal represents entrenched interests trying to extract as much money as possible and slow down change before their business model is obsolete.

With leadership, I'd imagine OZ could transition off of coal entirely in a 5-10 year time frame.  10-15 years and be fully weaned off fossil fuels for electricity.

Biden should reinstall solar panels on the WH roof.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' rights and interests in land are formally recognised over around 40 per cent of Australia's land mass.

Exactly.  Another positive.  The poor indigenous folk might start profiting from their interior scrubland.  Though it won't surprise me if they get bypassed and don't.

Why is the GOP censuring Cindy McCain, Jeff Flake, and Doug Ducey?  I thought they were against cancel culture?

When they do it, it's not cancel culture. It's protecting their purity.
