I believe what Bo is saying is there would not have been a huge crowd at the Capitol if not for President Trump's Jan 6 speech.  Not sure anyone here agrees.

Trump holding a large rally near the Capitol on the day of the certification helped ensure a big turnout.

But Trump's 2.5 month lie of a stolen election and encouraging supporters to stop the certification brought people out whether or not a Trump speech was scheduled.

Trump incited folks for months before and on Jan 6.

In the past, certification day was never a cause for large protests, because the president in power always had conceded and never before has tried to stop peaceful transfer of power.  They were there because Trump made it an issue, because Trump falsely alleged the election was stolen.  He encouraged them to take back their country.  They were outside the Capitol and then inside chanting Fight for Trump.  And fight they did.

There would not have been a riot and attack on the Capitol except for Donald Trump inciting supporters.

They took the jangle of the Byrds, the homemade, quirky sound of the Velvet Underground and with two great singers in Bell and Chilton made their own sound. One that was hugely influential for bands like REM, Wilco, Son Volt (both spun off from Uncle Tupelo) and many others. Maybe you should give them a listen.

-Pipe bombs were placed near the Capitol before President Trump’s speech.

-The FBI knew about potential violence before the speech.

-Capitol Police requested help from the National Guard days before the speech.

So, he acknowledges a planned conspiracy to overthrow the government was in motion. He shows that he grasps that the crowd was already greased for violence and that they just needed permission to act, which Trump gave them, and Trump said he'd join them in doing (before he, of course, he bailed and went home to watch them on his tv).
