House passes HR1 and George Floyd Justice in Policing Act.

This is a big fucking deal.

Well, it's a BFD if it gets through the Senate and becomes law.
even it it does it will die in the Courts. We still have a Constitution.

HR1 broadly interprets the 15th Amendment, as have court decisions all through the 20th century.  We have moved, in the nation's interpretation of its Constitution, from no one being overtly denied the right to vote to no one being hindered in their right to vote.  HR1 reflects a continued progress on affirming the spirit of the 15th Amendment.  And the inclusive ethos in the 19th and 24th Amendment.  NOTHING in the Constitution, or its interpretation for the past century, suggests regression to covert disenfranchisement of minorities.

Very true, OC. Unfortunately people who have trained themselves to think tax cuts for millionaires somehow boost the economy have made themselves mostly impervious to truth.

Unfortunately for the GOP there ain't enough of those people but fortunately for the GOP there have been enough folks in the majority who didn't say or do shit while the Right gutted voting rights because it didn't affect them.

The World Bank and the IMF need to be Crisis Intervention Specialists when it comes to saving world economies, when currencies collapse overnight there needs to be heroes to step in and save the economies, and to save the good, honest, hard-working people from being cast into poverty and hunger. We have saved economies before, we know how to do it, and there needs to be a team of trained professionals to step in and save people when they need help.

Many years ago we saved Turkey when their economy was collapsing, and we have saved other nations over the years in their times of desperate need, and right now we need to step in and save Lebanon.

We can get gold from Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA, and there is also gold in Colombia, and in Bolivia. If we need gold then we can get it.

We can save economies, and we can help people, so that nations are not cast into poverty and hunger.

Salute,

Tony V.

DT today:

"Aussie hydrogen exports to Japan set to boom.

Hydrogen shipments from Australia to Japan could eventually rival the post war boom in coal trade between the two countries, according to Japan's new ambassador."

Well there you go.

Speaking of sex and drunk women;

Daily Mail;

The army husband of a high profile news anchor has been charged with allegedly raping a drunk woman more than two years ago.

Mark Cameron, who has been married to Nine News reporter Davina Smith since 2010, was charged with rape in November last year.
The 43-year-old allegedly assaulted the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, in the early hours of December 2, 2018, in Sutherland, south Sydney.

'This is a serious complaint involving sexual assault on an intoxicated victim,' police alleged in court documents, according to the Daily Telegraph.

'The prosecution case in this matter is extremely strong, in that the accused has made admissions to the offence which were captured under the authorised warrant.'

Police allege the incident happened just suburbs away from Cameron's home in Cronulla, which he shares with Ms Smith, who is pregnant with their second child, and their four-year-old daughter Rose.

Davina is lovely, so kind, gentle, sweet, ...judging by what we see of her on tv.

Your rape fetish is... fascinating.

Nancy has plenty of time for a long week-end.

they got their version of the HR1 passed.

So they cleared out for Q and the GQP just in case they acted up again and threaten our democracy.

Again.

Besides, they're waiting for Jerk-off Johnson to finish (R-Wi) his delaying the relief bill.

And Red thinks its funny.

“It’s not fair!”

Everybody else who did things much worse are already home,” Barnett said. He later added, “I’ve been here for a month, they’re going to set it for another month, and everybody else is getting out.”
