I spent some time in Canada, lovely folks with clean cities. Some time in Baja as a tourist while living in orange county. Some interesting scenic fishing villages and kind people, lots of signs of banditos though. Met someone living in my apt. complex who said he was held for ransom. Had to wire the police $500.
Exactly why I would never travel there.
After what was revealed by Schapelle Corby's case, after and recently...I would never travel anywhere with a checked in suitcase.
Cabin bag only.
Int'l travel is too dangerous for me...the stories shown on "Banged Up Abroad" are too frightening for me to bear.
Older man english nurse David Chell was arrested in Malaysia, airport officials said they found heroin in his underwear, after taking him to an interview room.
He said they took the heroin from under a cushion in the room.
He spent 12 months on death row, taunted daily with the noose just outside his cell.
Had a trial, pages of log missing, they released him.
Very lucky was he.
Recently older Aussie man flew to Singapore, they found drugs in his bag...[Singapore hanged Aussie Nguyen for drugs in his bag while in transit.)
Begged not to, they still hanged him anyway....baaah!.]
Only top cops sent from Australia were able to save the man's life...the drugs put in his bag in transit somehow.
Int'l travel...not for me.
They can't get me thru the tv.
