Are you writing Gavin about these Ideas Tony?

Another important idea who’s time is here again,

http://thebulwark.com/to-strengthen-democracy-protect-unions/

A wealth tax to support Union organizing and advocacy would be a useful form of reparation.

Take the odd half trillion of idle or mischievous capital from the devil’s rich and the undeserving rich to reinvigorate our national labor force. It’s smart investing for the future.

Facilitatorn,

Yes, I have sent ideas to the Governor, the Mayors, various council people, etc, on Facebook. And I share ideas on a few news Facebook pages, such as Channel 5 KTLA.

On the issue of unions, I want for the money to go to the workers, and not to the government. We do not need to make the government fatter, we need to make the workers richer. The money needs to go directly to the workers, via union wage scales, etc.

And we need to send union representatives to our Southern Border.

Salute,

Tony V.

Luee:  child brides is cultural.   Otherwise,  we're going to have to hold Christianity responsible for its Mormon sects.   And various Christians in Latin America who also have child marriage.  And some Hindus in south Asia.  Also,  17 US states have no minimum age.

That falls under the two wrongs don't make a right category. Just wrong to not allow little girls to grow into women.

And wrong for you to focus on one wrong from one group.  But that's what racists do.
What exact race is Islam? A 7th century belief matrix. Just saying it is time for an enlightenment. Forget the violence and xenophobia, the mistreatment of females etc..

Right! If you wanna see violence, xenophobia and the mistreatment of women, look now further than the White Evangelical conservatives...

Not sure if you've noticed... the modern meaning of "racism" is not literally race in the anthropologist sense.

As for pinning a century on religious faith...do you refer to your Christian friends as caught in a first century belief matrix?

I've noticed that if you talk with an Islamophobe,  they invariably target particular Middle  Eastern ethnicities when they give examples.  And refer only to doctrines of extremist splinter groups or deeply conservative sects.   It's akin to lumping all Christians with fundamentalists and Mormon polygamists.

It's all about selection bias.   Look only for instances that confirm your bias.

Definition of racism
1: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/racism

I am going by the latest Webster. The ancient Persians, Egyptians, and Christians led civilization in pre-7th century times. No big Mo is not the same as Jesus only better.

A perfect covid virus just appeared, very unlikely. His analysis is probably correct?

As it can be both quantified and justified, classism is much better.

Just wondering
1.
Georgia’ s new election law taking hits for;
Adopting constraints on Mail-in no -excuse absentee balloting, something that was only put into effect because of Covid.
New York state is one of 15 that DOESN’T  allow no-excuse absentee voting, AT ALL( including heavy democrat Connecticut and Delaware)
So if Georgia allows it to continue with new constraints how is that “ prima face evidence of racism “ according to democrats?
What does that tell you about states whose statutes don’t allow it at all?

2.

A new Iowa law was pounced on by the left as VOTER SUPPRESSION  by reducing the number of early voting days to 20 from 29.
But the District of Columbia, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Wisconsin and 15 other states ALL  have shorter in-person voting periods than Iowa!
Oh, and Connecticut, Delaware and New Jersey don’t permit  ANY early voting!

There is no such thing as Islamophobia. Bigotry and racism exist, of course—and they are evils
that all well-intentioned people must oppose. And prejudice against Muslims or Arabs,
purely because of the accident of their birth, is despicable. But like all religions,
Islam is a system of ideas and practices. And it is not a form of bigotry or
racism to observe that the specific tenets of the faith pose a special
threat to civil society. Nor is it a sign of intolerance to notice
when people are simply not being honest about what
they and their co-religionists believe.
— Sam Harris.
