But your "fix" is conjecture, especially given what has been happening. Trying to avoid getting shot is pretty believable.

Well, when the story comes out we will know more on that.  Some misinformation has been distributed, already muddying the jury pool

The statutory standards allow an officer to use deadly physical force when the officer reasonably believes it is necessary to (1) defend himself or herself or a third person from the use or imminent use of deadly physical force or (2) arrest or prevent the escape of someone the officer reasonably believes has committed or attempted to commit a felony involving the infliction or threat of serious physical injury, and, if feasible, the officer has given warning of his or her intent to use deadly physical force.

Discrepancy also on whether they were serving a search warrant or an arrest warrant - or both.  But there hasn't been anything said about Mr Brown being sought for anything violent.

Why did they shoot?  Again - we dont have that information - as law enforcemnt is being tight-lipped until the investigation is complete.  All we have is supposition - the victim's side inflaming the public and the press coming along.

Kudos to the city for maintaining relative calm.  They have said they are fine until folks come from outside the area.  Sad that their burgh may be lit on fire in the coming weeks.
