CNN admitted this week that liberal host Chris Cuomo participated in strategy sessions for his brother and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, on how to handle sexual harassment allegations made against him, calling their star anchor's involvement "inappropriate."

The Washington Post reported Thursday Chris Cuomo joined conference calls with top aides to the embattled governor earlier this year as charges of harassment mounted and prompted calls from both sides of the aisle for his resignation. Sources told the paper that the younger Cuomo urged his brother to not step down, reportedly using the term "cancel culture" at one point.

FRANCE 24 English

26 minutes  ·

🔴 BREAKING - Israel confirms 'unconditional' Gaza ceasefire agreed with Hamas

-----------

We need to send a team of peace makers to the Middle East, and we need to strive to achieve peace and prosperity for the people there.

Meanwhile, the homeless people in the Middle East can go to Abu Dhabi and to Dubai and they can be essential workers and construction workers, etc.

Blessed are the peace makers.

And we need to send in teachers and other peaceful people into the Middle East to teach them the ways of peace and prosperity.

We can also have United Nations social programs, such as UNICEF, etc, helping the homeless children and feeding people, UNICEF even has school classes for the children, etc.

And we can do things such as sending ships full of sheep to Afghanistan to help them get better established in the sheep business, and they can make stuff from the wool, etc. And we can send them cotton seeds to get started in the cotton business. Etc. And we can donate libraries for them, etc.

Salute,

Tony V.

And while we are at it, let's consider that the vast majority of hate crimes in this country do not involve African Americans or Muslim Americans, but are instead directed towards Jewish Americans.

According to 2018 FBI data: Jews were 2.7 times more likely than blacks, 2.2 times more likely than Muslims to be hate crime victims.

Jewish Lives Matter.

They do.   But raw numbers may need some analysis.   How many Jews are gunned down by police,  compared to BIPoC persons,  where race/ethnic bias in involved?

How many hate crimes, in each group you mention,  involve physical violence and how many involve vandalism,  graffiti,  verbal abuse?

If 400 members of a synagogue are greeted with a spray painted swastika on the building on Saturday,  and the count of hate crime victims is 400, how does that weigh against a black person who is shot or beaten to death, or left in a wheelchair?

Also,  Jewish people have been proactive and organized about reporting hate crimes to law enforcement.   Do BIPoC persons match that level of reporting?

If your stats can reveal,  in more detail,  the types and severity of hate crimes directed towards each group, and which group is more reluctant to file police reports,  it would help in guiding sensible public policy.

 You're kidding, right?

How many Jews do you think live in this country? Do you know how small a percentage of the US population Jews comprise?

ELEVEN law-abiding and contributing-to-a-more-just-society Jews being killed in the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh represents a great loss to the country. But you wouldn't know it. Known criminals like a Michael Brown, or a George Floyd are mourned as a terrible loss to our society, both having done nothing for no one but themselves, because...well, they're not Jews, right?

From this website:
https://ucr.fbi.gov/hate-crime/2019/topic-pages/incidents-and-offenses

Religious bias (Based on Table 1.)
Hate crimes motivated by religious bias accounted for 1,650 offenses reported by law enforcement. A breakdown of the bias motivation of religious-biased offenses showed:

60.3 percent were anti-Jewish.
13.3 percent were anti-Islamic (Muslim).
4.0 percent were anti-Catholic.
3.6 percent were anti-Other Christian.
3.0 percent were anti-Sikh.
2.8 percent were anti-Eastern Orthodox (Russian, Greek, Other).
2.5 percent were anti-multiple religions, group.
1.5 percent were anti-Protestant.
0.8 percent (14 offenses) were anti-Mormon.
0.4 percent (7 offenses) were anti-Hindu.
0.4 percent (7 offenses) were anti-Jehovah’s Witness.
0.4 percent (6 offenses) were anti-Atheism/Agnosticism/etc.
0.3 percent (5 offenses) were anti-Buddhist.
6.5 percent were anti-other (unspecified) religion.

Percentage of Jews in America's population: 2.2%

Percentage of Muslims in America? 1.1%

Percentage of Blacks in America? 13.4%

Here's an interesting set of data for you to examine, genius:

See if you can put 2 and 2 together, and maybe you'll begin to understand who the real persecuted are, and who the extremists are.

Maybe.

Quote
"One of the few ways to have a true labor shortage in a capitalist economy is for workers to be demanding wages so high that businesses cannot stay afloat while paying those wages. But there is a lot of evidence to suggest that the U.S. economy does not suffer from that problem.

If anything, wages today are historically low. They have been growing slowly for decades for every income group other than the affluent. As a share of gross domestic product, worker compensation is lower than at any point in the second half of the 20th century.

...Corporate profits, on the other hand, have been rising rapidly and now make up a larger share of G.D.P. than in previous decades. As a result, most companies can afford to respond to a growing economy by raising wages and continuing to make profits, albeit perhaps not the unusually generous profits they have been enjoying.

From the NYTimes. Nice excerpt.

We need to keep the Trump tariffs on China, until China plays fair and until China buys products from the USA.

Difficult to judge the tariff in pandemic years. Biden could have stopped it easily.

It’s a lever to nudge China toward his priorities at this point. It takes a wise hand to find advantage when following in the wake of a never respected and soon to be indicted idiot child (that would be the Queens con former imposter, a.k.a. TFG).

Dylan Roof would have been moved to kill at the Tree of Life Synagogue because as a white supremacist he hates everyone who isn’t him but he killed black worshipers at the church where he had been invited to come for bible study and prayer.

Floyd and Brown were murdered by the police of their community where police are tasked to protect and serve.

You’re comparing Police to homicidal white supremacists is just plain stupid.

But it harkens directly back to his recent self-own, providing another equivalent example in that category.

I think republican elected officials are wise to rally around trump no matter how far it is taking them from their oaths to their constituents before God. It will wind up being really good for the country.
