I never knew college courses for would-be lawyers contained a morality clause.
I assume that was to account for my senior seminar on Reason and Revelation. Concluding Unscientific Postscript to Philosophical Fragments by Johannes de Climacus changed my life. Briefly.

I am pretty sure Red views college as a high end trade school. And that he would consider my degree in Justice, Morality and Constitutional Democracy "useless" after finding 0 ads for positions calling for that degree on Indeed.

College and my liberal arts education helped me do independent research, analysis, and clearly articulate my findings. I enjoyed poli sci but those skills are and were applicable to several pursuits.

As an aside, college may be a high-end and expensive trade school, but for a lot of kids it exposes them to a lot of new and exciting learning and career possibilities they could have never imagined in a more constricted and defined universe. I mean once it became apparent that MLB 1st baseman was an unlikely career path for me, I was lost in high school.

Also the positive developmental impact of no longer under the watchful eye of parents and easier access to beers, bongs and babes can't be under stated.

Lastly, while Red's degree in TV and washing machine repair from JC, may jaundice his view of a liberal arts education and lead him to demean your costly degree in Justice, Morality and Constitutional Democracy, I suspect he attended the George Reeves Tele-Academy of Truth, Justice and the American Way. To this day Red is convinced he can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Sadly for the Mrs, he was only faster than a speeding bullet. Though, she did appreciate his ability to adjust the washer spin cycle.
I cannot imagine what my life would be like without the experience of going off to college,  and not just as a gateway to my career. It was an invaluable experience for someone growing up in a highly homogeneous world. The primary reason for my choosing MSU over Pure Evil Meatchicken was my dad's insistence that if I chose Meatchicken I could save money by staying home and attending the local branch of UM. Fuuuuck that.

To name a few.
Might be fun but finding a job?
Not so much.

Video game Design
Music Industry Studies
Ethnomusicality
Vineyard Management
Informatics
Rhetoric
Comparative Literature

Informatics experts are in high demand.   As are coders and graphics designers for video gaming.   A friend of mine studied informatics, now has his own biotech company.
Some of the others are academic fields that have been around for centuries, and offer the chance to teach and do research.   Vineyard mgmt is part of agribusiness, and offers well-paying jobs.   The newer fields on the list have seen growth in demand for trained specialists,  which is why universities responded with courses.

You seem to have cut/pasted again,  and with no idea what you're talking about.
None of those graduates are in high demand.
Not one.
As for cut and pasting, I made a list, albeit a small one, copied it and pasted it.
Sue me.

Informatics is the popular current term for computer science you cretin.

For one branch of it, but not all of it.

Only 945 informatics jobs on Indeed at the moment.
149 Vineyard Manager openings, but 900 other jobs that call for that training.
Over 1000 video game designer/developer jobs.

I'll grant Ward that there are only a few dozen jobs calling for Music Industry Studies. explicitly, but would wager a large amount of money that few of those with that degree are not going on to grad school - or ever planned otherwise. Studying any industry preps one for being able to understand others. See also: Liberal Arts majors and Philosophy Majors.

Hadn't heard of ethnomusicality as a field before, but I suspect that it aligns with ethnomusicology, for which there are some jobs out there. High demand? Nope - but how many ethnomusicality degrees got handed out last year?

Ward listed Rhetoric and Comparative Lit?!

Hahahahaha!

Setting aside that there are more than 800 jobs calling for a background that rhetoric is explicitly desired for, again, rhetoric is a stepping stone degree into a host of fields, including law.

Comparative lit is another major that was never intended as a terminal degree. But... there are more than 5,000 editorial positions, Ward. You think those are beyond a Comparative Lit major?! You know what other major is considered a good path for a future editor?! Rhetoric!

There is no major in editing.

Made that list up yourself, you claim?

You should be so proud. You found TWO majors that don't have tons of openings in their fields.
You got it backwards.
The higher the number of openings reflects lower demand most likely do to the annual salary.

From lowest and going up:
Legislators
Radio and television announcers
Graduate Teaching Assistants
Coaches and scouts
Rehabilitation Counselors
Proofreaders and copy markers
Reporters and Correspondents
Museum technicians and conservators
Agricultural inspectors
Biological technicians
Mental health and substance abuse social workers
Credit counselors
Child, family, and school social workers
Social science research assistants
Athletic trainers
Recreational therapists
Education administrators, preschool and childcare center/program
Statistical assistants
Exercise physiologists
Meeting, convention, and event planners
Fine artists, including painters, sculptors, and illustrators
Audio-visual and multimedia collections specialists
Music directors and composers
Farm and home management advisors
Interpreters and translators
Marriage and family therapists
Graphic designers
Archivists
Probation officers and correctional treatment specialists
Vocational education teachers, postsecondary
Interior designers
Judicial law clerks
Adult basic and secondary education and literacy teachers and instructors
Curators
Health educators
Set and exhibit designers
Tax examiners and collectors, and revenue agents
Camera operators, television, video, and motion picture

Legislators $24K
Camera operators $54K

All require a Bachelor’s Degree, a few a Master’s Degree.
I am pretty sure Red views college as a high end trade school. And that he would consider my degree in Justice, Morality and Constitutional Democracy "useless" after finding 0 ads for positions calling for that degree on Indeed.

Given his snide comment to Larry about "we're" vs. "were," it is entertaining to see him use "do" rather than "due."

Given his comment about legislators' pay, his list is suspect, but what else is new?

Our legislators start at $70k.

Quote
The National Conference of State Legislatures classifies state legislatures as full-time, part-time, or hybrid.

Full-time states have legislators who devote 84 percent of a full time job to their legislative duties which include committee hearings, listening sessions, constituent service, and time spent campaigning. On average, each full-time legislator is paid about $82,358.[4]

Hybrid states have legislators who devote 74 percent of a full time job to their legislative duties. Legislators estimate they spend more than two-thirds of a full-time job on their legislative duties. On average, each hybrid legislator is paid about $41,590.[4]

Part-time states have legislators who devote 57 percent of a full time job to their legislative duties. On average, each legislator is paid about $18,449. These are also called "traditional or citizen legislatures" and the legislators typically need additional sources of income outside the legislature to make a living.[4]

And no, not all of those jobs require a college degree. Basically, Ward is swallowing somebody's horseshit raw and then shitting it here.

Interesting catfight on the "view" about the loony fringes in both parties.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/the-view-blows-up-after-meghan-mccain-compares-the-squad-to-rep-marjorie-taylor-greene

The Squad says wearing masks are just like Jews wearing a yellow Star in Nazi Germany?

The Squad says wildfires were started by Jewish Space lasers?

There is NO comparison the left for the looney MAINSTREAM of the GQP.

Grow up. It only took you four years to realize Trump took credit for improvements to the VA made under Obama.

The GOP mainstream still thinks the 2020 election was rigged and cause for an armed insurrection.

No

Which of those are you disagreeing with, Kid?

All of the jobs on the list I posted require a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.

---The trending of “Jewish Space Laser” apparently was ignited by social media post from first-term Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia). Her Facebook post was actually from 2018 but re-emerged recently, sort of like a piece of something floating back to the water surface in a toilet bowl.---

And, of course, there is no requirement that a legislator have a college degree.

There are more on the list than those three for which a BA is not required.
