But to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, the mere suggestion that you should seek to understand your own society, including its flaws, makes you a “pig” and “stupid.” Laura Ingraham, another Fox News host, called for defunding the military in response to Milley’s statements, on the grounds that “he’s chosen to indulge the radical whims of Democrats.” The Carlsons, Ingrahams, and other culture warriors who now dominate the world of conservative infotainment seem now to believe that the study of American history—the knowledge of what actually happened on the territory that lies between the two shining seas—should be forbidden.

Neither qualify as propaganda. They are personal expressions.
Public reactions to those expressions offer politicians a chance to engage in propaganda.

As we work to help the homeless in Los Angeles, there is a whole list of issues to deal with, here are a few issues...

Some women end up homeless as they escape abuse, we need to help the abused women.

Many of the homeless people are foster youth who age out of the system without getting adopted, we need to help the foster youth to go to college, etc, instead of ending up homeless.

We can have camps for the drug addicts and for the alcoholics where they can get clean and where they can do the 12 Step Program, etc, they can do 90 day drug treatment programs at camps in Acton, and in Lake Hughes, etc.

We have to help the mentally ill people, we can have Mental Health Associations like the one in Santa Ana where the people can get breakfast and lunch and where they can sign up for all of the programs to help them.

We can have Wellness Centers where anyone who needs help can get it, like the Wellness Center in Orange.

We need to expand Section 8.

We need to build new towers, etc, to create new housing.

We can have Hostels like in Rome, Italy, where people can take a nice hot shower and where they can sleep in a nice comfortable bed for $15 per night.

We can have more Bed and Breakfast type places, and more group homes, etc.

Those are a few thoughts.

Also, people can put together teams to sell beer and hot dogs at sporting events and at concerts, etc, to raise money for charity to help the homeless and to feed the hungry, etc.

Also, we have homeless people in California who come here for the Entertainment Industry, so we need to have special apartment complexes for homeless people from the Entertainment Industry, like the Palm View apartment complex in Hollywood. Some people are out there homeless with training and an education, and all that they need is work in the Entertainment Industry. We need apartments for the artists, and we need to encourage people to hire homeless actors and homeless writers, and homeless cinematographers, etc.

Reports of leaks and flooding in the parking garage of Champlain Towers South stretch back decades. It has not been determined that water problems contributed to the building collapse that killed at least 11 people and left about 150 missing, though a forensic engineering expert said it is possible.

“There was always water there,” said John Turis, who was in Brooklyn when the Surfside, Fla., condominium building collapsed. “There was always water in the garage. There was always water leaking — it used to leak on my car all of the time.”

William Espinosa, who said he oversaw maintenance at the building from about 1995 to 2000, told CBS 4 Miami that saltwater would seep through the building’s foundation during particularly high tides. Employees would use two large pumps to force it out, he said.

“The water would just basically sit there, and then it would just seep downward,” Espinosa said. “I’m talking about a foot, sometimes two feet, of water in the bottom of the parking lot, the whole parking lot.”

Espinosa said that when he alerted building managers to the rising water, they said the issue had been going on for years and they did not take action.

More avenues of investigation.  Salt water and concrete are not the best of friends.

One bright spot of the corona crisis might be that more people have learned how to work from home. That would mean less people on the freeways, less pollution in the air, and it is also good for the kids to have their parents home.

If you can run a company from an office in New York City, then you can do it from your home office with modern equipment.

Home offices are a plus for society.
