Missouri Rep. Cori Bush spent nearly $70,000 on private security over the past three months as she advocated for defunding the police, campaign filings show.

Bush's campaign sent $54,120.92 in payments between April 15 and June 28 for "security services" to RS&T Security Consulting, a New York-based firm with a mysterious online presence, Federal Election Commission records released Thursday show. The Democrat's campaign also paid $15,000 to Nathaniel Davis for "security services" over the same time period.

The $69,120 in security payments accounted for more than a third of Bush's $197,000 in campaign expenditures during the second quarter, the FEC records show. It's also nearly double what her campaign spent on private security during the first quarter of 2021.

Hypocrite.
No she isn't,  Racist. At least, not based on that article, Racist. She hired private security. Has she ever.advocated eliminating that?

Also... Man Who Pretends to not be a Racist posts yet another article of Black People Allegedly Behaving Badly. Forrest sure seem really, really REALLY fond of doing that.

So, there's nothing in the post about race. Yet, you inject it. This proves your comments have one purpose. To label anyone who doesn't kowtow to the okey-dokie wokie world as a racist.

Your comments really have become irrelevant.
Your dog whistle fools no one Forrest.

Re the Texas abortion law question which a quick internet search did not answer

In particular the provision allowing unaffiliated non-gov't parties (bounty hunters, vigilantes, crazy people, Bible thumpers, religious zealots who text Jesus, whoever) to enforce the ban, where is their standing under law? How are they a harmed party if a woman seeks medical opinions and a medical procedure? Other than prurient, what is their interest in a woman's medical condition, which presumably is not available to fucking strangers?

thanks.

I'll hang-up and listen.

Thank you for listening. /sound of cash register/

The pregnant woman is not the one being sued - she's exempt.

The person who drove her, the clergy or Planned Parenthood or neighbor who advised her?! They can all be sued.

The standing is purely that established by the law itself. We'll see if that holds up.

But a problem, among many problems, is that theoretically every woman (pregnant or not) who calls Uber, or walks into a church, or a medical clinic, or picks up a phone to call whomever, puts at legal risk an Uber driver, member of the clergy, nurse or doctor, or neighbor phone answerer, for what? Potentially engaging with a woman who might be pregnant and you might say the wrong thing?

Fucking crazy law that to its logical end will make all Texans suspect of something.

The Lone Ranger was right to wear a mask.

Three of the Texas democrat legislators who fled to D.C. to avoid voting on a Texas election bill have tested positive for Covid-19. The group flew to DC on chartered planes and published maskless pictures while on the planes.
The rest of the group is self testing.

Ninnies, the bunch of them.

Kind of like the run-of-the-mill Republican.

But, but
Kammy Harris compared the Texas Dems to the great Abolitionist Frederick Douglas when she said

They took bold, courageous action in line with the legacy of Frederick Douglass when he fought for the right of black men to vote in America….

The Texans did nothing courageous and Federick Douglas was a great GOP icon in the Civil War era battling for equal rights.

But, hey, it’s Kammy speaking.

You continue to be full of shit.

And courageous =/= always clever.

And your party continues to lead the nation in stupidity - theirs is just a blip compared to your so-called leaders and their ardent, ignorant followers.

practicing the rhetorical punch, parry, and kick of dog whistle racial jujitsu. Here are the basic moves: (1) punch racism into the conversation through references to culture, behavior, and class; (2) parry claims of race-baiting by insisting that absent a direct reference to biology or the use of a racial epithet, there can be no racism; (3) kick up the racial attack by calling any critics the real racists for mentioning race and thereby “playing the race card.”

Kid, you and Piggy both talk about how demonizing you will not get you to change your minds.

So, given that facts haven't done it and suffering hasn't done it, what do YOU suggest as an alternative that would be more effective than those have been?

We don't demonize you to change your mind. We do it to express our fury at your murderous ways.

We do it to accurately capture who you are.

"We".

Heh

Fuck off, Wokie.

After you, Napoleon Piggy.

That you think being woke is an insult is hilarious and misplaced. Go ahead and call me a social justice warrior, next! Or accuse me of being politically correct because you cannot fathom my intentions as sincere.

I am not nearly as "woke" as I would like to be, but at least I'm working on it.

While Kid is "Hehing" and Ward is ignoring it all, it is not only the Dems, the liberals, or the scientists calling out the misinformation campaign that the right wing is engaged in.

Not even slightly.

The Republican governor of Utah on Thursday decried “propaganda” spread against coronavirus vaccines, warning that those discouraging immunization are “killing people.”

“We have these — these talking heads who have gotten the vaccine and are telling other people not to get the vaccine,” Gov. Spencer Cox said in response to a reporter’s question about anti-vaccine rhetoric coming in large part from the political right. “That kind of stuff is just, it’s ridiculous. It’s dangerous, it’s damaging, and it’s killing people. I mean, it’s literally killing their supporters. And that makes no sense to me.”

I think Northeastern and BU are being wise, but I can hear Kid (the Compassionate One) crying out, again, "THE SKY IS FALLING," because college students matter so much to him.

Hay, Kid?

You know how if you have the right vaccines, even if you get the Delta variant now you will very likely not get seriously ill?

Well, there are people around you who got the wrong vaccine or got no vaccine or are immunocompromised, all of whom are still vulnerable to YOU if you get the Delta variant and spread it.

And... the other reason to try to get the rest of the country vaccinated is because the more of us remain unvaccinated and catching this virus, the great the chance of even worse mutations coming that can do far more damage.

The sky is not falling at this time, but the policies and the language of the conservative side of your party seems intent on changing that.

Why would anyone vaccinated tell someone who is not vaccinated to avoid getting the shots?

Why would anyone vaccinated tell someone who is not vaccinated to avoid getting the shots?

Because they recognize a tangible real value of the deplorables is their cow-like stupidity in believing the dogma and their usefullness in voicing and shouting party propaganda, and they want an audience and the eyeballs to re-package and sell to advertisers. And that there are so many deplorables in the herd, some are expendable.

But the talking heads, aren't dummies, just opportunistic parasites, and they got their shots, as they milk and feed off the deplorables.

No

But nothing else will, either, which is why you ignored that question.

Demonizing makes you no less likely to change your mind, Kid.
