CDC information on vaccinations of note:

Black and Hispanic people have had persistently lower rates of vaccination compared to their White counterparts across most states. These lower vaccination rates leave Black and Hispanic people at increased risk for infection, illness, and death, particularly as new variants, like the Delta variant, spread.

Thus far, 47 percent of whites are vaccinated, and 62 percent of Asians, but Hispanics sit at a much lower 39 percent, and blacks at an even lower 34 percent.

13.5 m people, half the population, of bambuland...are in lockdown/stay at home orders..
In NSW state, Sydney basically, there are 27 people in ICU, 24 of those not vaccinated...11 people are on ventilators.
Yesterday 97 new cases, of which 21 were active in the community while infected.
Govt says it wants to get the 21 figure to zero.

Tom Barrack, the real-estate investor and a longtime ally of former President Trump, was arrested Tuesday in Los Angeles on charges that he acted as a foreign agent of the United Arab Emirates and lied to federal investigators.

A seven-count indictment filed by the U.S. attorney’s office in Brooklyn, N.Y., alleges that Mr. Barrack, along with a former employee and an Emirati businessman, acted at the direction of senior Emirati officials to influence Mr. Trump’s policy positions and to influence public opinion in favor of U.A.E. interests.

Mr. Barrack, 74 years old, was also charged with obstruction of justice and making false statements during a June 2019 interview with federal law-enforcement agents.

And with good reason, given how the medical profession has treated those populations over the years, Ward, not that you would even begin to accept that truth.

It's a problem. But the reason only 47% of whites are vaccinated is because of the GOP and Fox.

And because there are so many more whites, it creates at least as big a problem and in some states far bigger.

Biden is worried about inflation, the secret is to open up trade with Mexico, and to welcome Mexican grocery stores such as Northgate and Vallarta to open up new locations in the USA.

And Americans need to be open to new products from Mexico that they might not be familiar with but are high quality, such as Mexican brands of toilet paper, etc.

There has been a very direct and conscience outreach into many of these communities, and in the NY Metro area, they are running ads all the time trying to bump these numbers up. But science isn't important in America. Dancing with the Stars, the NFL, and what will Britney do seem to be the priorities.

Kid I'm not a scientist, nor have the deep knowledge of deadly viruses you seem to have, but is it possible that the unvacced and unmasked are more vulnerable to getting infected with covid-delta, covid-epsilon, covid-next Greek letter mutant strain, as new mutations of covid  develop, mutations which could prove a deadly danger to those who got vacced and practice social distancing?

Is it that difficult an ask, to ask that citizens act together to fight this disease, by putting fears and superstitions and politics aside, and making the mutation conditions more difficult, by making the mutant pool smaller and making the virus work harder to find the idiots who want to be covid-mutant factories?

As Alexandra Petri warned, you don't want to get young people hooked on life-saving modern medicine.  That's coddling!

Dr. Marty Makary is a professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Bloomberg School of Public Health and Carey Business School who had this take on vaccinating teens for Covid today in the WSJ.

A tremendous number of government and private policies affecting kids are based on one number: 335. That is how many children under 18 have died with a Covid diagnosis code in their record, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Yet the CDC, which has 21,000 employees, hasn’t researched each death to find out whether Covid caused it or if it involved a preexisting medical condition.

Without these data, the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices decided in May that the benefits of two-dose vaccination out-weigh the risks for all kids 12 to 15. I’ve written hundreds of peer-reviewed medical studies, and I can think of no journal editor who would accept the claim that 335 deaths resulted from a virus without data to indicate if the virus was incidental or causal, and without an analysis of relevant risk factors such as obesity.

Given the tremendous resources of the CDC and FDA, which together employ 39,000, these agencies ought to be able to report the statistics needed to make informed policy decisions. If the data are incomplete or flawed, so too will be the decisions derived from them. The vaccine’s benefits may outweigh its risks for healthy kids, but the government shouldn’t try to push that conclusion based on faulty data.

Makary's point doesn't address the herd immunity benefit of universal vaxxing.   And that's not a question of how many teens would have severe illness or death from the virus,  but of how many in the general population  would get the virus if all demographics are not part of the vaxxing.  And also,  the greater probability of mutant variants if there's a pool of unvaxxed out there.   So,  while Makary has indeed found an instance where peer review was insufficient and data analysis incomplete,  this doesn't change the bigger picture of community spread and more virulent mutants.

Really?
She didn’t trust Warp Speed?

[]I  called you a racist because you are one and engaged in a continuing course of racist behavior. You lose again.

Boz,  you are one of my favorites here,  with sharply observed takes on issues,  nuanced arguments,  great quips and jests,  but seriously man,  this incandescent troll-turd is going to eat a hole in your brain if you keep engaging with him.  (this goes for several of you contentious motherfuckers out there...)

His problem is obvious and he is like so many people in that he never sees himself as others see him.   And so much racism is unconscious,  incredible as that may seem when you witness what looks to be just corrosive racial bias and baiting.   The hallmark of many a racist is that they see racism everywhere but in themselves.  Because they've never had those moments of self-reflection where their own biases surface,  never had that painful awakening to what is almost the "original sin" of America.   (maybe I shouldn't appropriate a religious doctrine to describe a social ill)

Knowing you (meaning everyone,  the general you) have some racist bias is the starting point of mitigating the adverse effects of it.   Beware of the person who smugly informs you they are "colorblind."

Covid seriously affects older people and without factoring that in the overall death is 1.8%.
Moreover the death rate has not been broken down to differentiate between those who died BECAUSE of COVID or WITH COVID?
Of the 335 deaths of teenagers the same holds true.
There is absolutely no medical reason without more data to require kids to be vaccinated.
This whole Covid cluster fuck is the result of misapplied or just plain wrong facts mixed in with confusion and political stupidity.
The most glaring response from the great unwashed is
“Let’s follow the Science!
Well, Science gave us Covid in the first place.

Clearly due in large part to VP Harris not accepting the vaccine as real and safe during the campaign - as a silly slight to the President.
