I think the Overton Window has shifted to the point that GOP politicians are now tossing out policy ideas that would have seemed too extreme to mention a few years ago.  And tolerating behavior they used to cringe more publicly at.   It's like the human capacity for embarrassment is being eroded severely.

“Women voters are really experiencing it, because they’re always more focused on kitchen table economics, microeconomics,” Lake told the outlet, later adding that “the key target vote in the 2022 election is going to be non-college-educated women … because they are the most undecided[/i]

That's spectacularly good news for the Dems.

The non-college educated women were +27% for Trump.

If they're undecided, that's probably a positive.

"The admissions in your letter corroborate and explain numerous credible accounts by individuals and firms that they had contacted the FBI with information 'highly relevant to . . . allegations' of sexual misconduct by Justice Kavanaugh, only to be ignored," they wrote in a letter back to the FBI.

"If the FBI was not authorized to or did not follow up on any of the tips that it received from the tip line, it is difficult to understand the point of having a tip line at all," they said.

When I worked for the Burbank YMCA as a teen at a summer camp by Tehachapi, I was in charge of the water system, and I used to go to the water tank everyday, and there was a lady who trained for the Olympics who used to meet me at the tank.

The lady was an Olympic gymnast, and she used to jog through the canyon at the same time I went up to the tank, and we would have a cigarette together at the tank. She was awesome, and she was a dedicated athlete with dreams of winning gold medals.

But, then the Olympics were boycotted, it was the 1980 Olympics and the Olympics were in the USSR that year, and the USA boycotted the Olympics for political reasons. So she did not get to participate in the Olympics, so sad. She worked hard, and then she never got to compete in the Olympics.

It was cool to get to hang out with an Olympic gymnast everyday, she was cool, and it was sad that the USA boycotted the Olympics and she did not get to participate.

Salute,

To all of the pointy head progressive democrats giving retirement advice to SCOTUS.
Justice Stephen Breyer has hired a full complement of law clerks for the upcoming term.

Even in 1980, we knew that was not a good combination.

“In 1980 I was in the best shape of my life. I was mentally and physically healthy,” she said. “When the boycott happened it was like the death of a loved one. I grieved. I didn’t speak to anyone. I didn’t really come out of my room. I left the sport.”

The boycott in 1980 really hurt the athletes, they sacrificed so much in the hope of winning Gold medals for the USA.

She was not a heavy smoker, she just enjoyed having a smoke by the tank with me everyday.

Her favorite band was the Grateful Dead, she was a Dead Head, she was great, she was a fun person. You would not expect for a world class athlete to love the Grateful Dead, but that was her favorite band.

Oh a Dead Head... so, what kind of "cigarettes" were you two smoking?

Nonsense.

Bill Walton was a Deadhead, probably before your friend was a teen! And a pretty famous one.
Quote
Walton is particularly attached to the Grateful Dead, whose concerts he started attending in 1967, while he was still in high school. He attended more than 850 Grateful Dead concerts, including traveling with the band to Egypt for its famous 1978 performance before the Pyramids (joining the band on drums), and quotes Grateful Dead lyrics in TV and radio interviews. To fellow Deadheads, Walton is fondly known as "Grateful Red" and the "Big Red Deadhead" and "World's Tallest Deadhead". In the video for "Touch of Grey", Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart is wearing a Celtics jacket given to him by Walton. In 2001, Walton was inducted into The Grateful Dead Hall of Honor.

A huge chunk of the right is a fucking death cult...

“Folks [are] supposed to have common sense. But it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks. It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down.”

—- Governor Kay Ivey (R-Alabama)

"Here I am recovering, getting out of here finally tomorrow. Am I going to get a vaccine? No," Roe said. "Because there's too many issues with these vaccines."

"Before you got sick," Begnaud asked Roe, "if you would have had a chance to get the vaccine and prevent this, would you have taken the vaccine?"

"No," Roe said. "I would have gone through this, yes sir… Don't shove it down my throat. That's what local, state, federal administration is trying to do - shove it down your throat."

"What are they shoving," Begnaud asked, "the science?"

"No they're shoving the fact that that's their agenda," Roe said, "their agenda is to get you vaccinated."
