The Supreme Court ruled in June of this year granting a temporary stay extending  lthe moratorium on pandemic evictions  that expired in July 2021. But the order specified a permanent e xtension should come from elected officials, not the CDC.

Nancy Pelosi failed to get democrat support in the House for an extension.

Never mind that landlords have not been paid rent since April of 2020 by renters with up to 98k$ of earnings
( 198k$ married).

So Nancy asked Joe for an executive order for an extension in blatant denial of SCOTUS.

Today Joe ignored  her request.

“ The White House signaled they would continue to try to help find legal authority on the issue, but indicated the president had no ability to act.”

Cori Bush and AOC are beside themselves

DC is 19th for murder and 24th in total violent crime - less than half the violent crime rate of Baltimore and about 30% of their murder rate. DC's also better on violent crime, 29th in the country.

Sounds like we should be putting Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and South Carolina under the control of DC voters. It would go a long way to improve quality of life in those places.

DC could split the responsibility for managing the failed state colonies with Puerto Rico.
