Sadly, we are past that. As anyone who has ever dealt with a conspiracy theory can tell you, when someone comes to a conclusion regardless of facts, there really is no point in more facts.

Really?

Then why are there more getting vaccinated?
There is a core of unvaxed who still refuse it, and they are negatively impacting public health.

True

There is no denying people are dying that could have lived had they been vaccinated
The point being, people who can be persuaded, including those now getting vaccinated, have been persuaded. We need another tactic for people who think Dr. Fauci is bent on world domination through vaccines and that it is safer to deworm than vaccinate because of 15 minutes of internet research and someone on Faux News said so.

You are not fairly judging Biden and his tactics

There is plenty he could have had in his speech to entice the current fence sitters and maybe even some never vaxxers to get the shots.

But no effort - except to call them idiots.

To me, it is a reminder that I will never not transpose the d and the r whenever I see the phrase "Large Hadron Collider".

I'd agree that Biden's presidency, insofar as his national bedside manner goes, is not inspiring.  But he could be a paragon of all virtues and the partisan brigade would still concoct reasons to dislike him.  That's where we are now.  And I think any sensible president would realize we are well past the "enticement" phase.  It's time to put the carrots down and pick up the stick.

We had a couple, at my wife's church, where the husband is in the hospital and on a ventilator.*  He asked for ivermectin, his doctor refused, and so the wife got a lawyer and sued the hospital so they finally caved and gave him (what I suspect is a tiny dose, just to shut her up).  People who spent 15 minutes on the Internet, soaking up rumors and anecdotes, are not supposed to be replacing the skills and knowledge of physicians and virologists.  This is a cult of Unreason.

Boy, is that a hilarious statement coming from you.

There is plenty he could have had in his speech to entice the current fence sitters and maybe even some never vaxxers to get the shots.

Like what?

Scoreboard
Trump over Hillary

Proving that Trump beat Clinton in the election.

And nothing else.

Arguing with Kid and Ward about Biden is like arguing about fact-checking with this woman:

How much ivermectin do you think he wanted?

Do you deny that some have taken the drug and subsequently recovered from COVID?

This is why Kid is concern trolling and Red is trying to float an alternate history this morning.

They want to get republicans a free pass for attacking the economy attacking families religion work and common sense and a pass for being generally too wrong and too ugly to win elections anywhere commerce and good information are valued more than cultish behavior and suicide.

No one denies those two events can happen.  The question in science (my field) is if those two events are causally related - as in, did the first thing cause the second thing?  That's kind of what clinical research is all about.  I'm sure there are people who listened to Frank Sinatra while eating poached eggs and recovered from covid.  The purpose of research is to find a causal connection between events.

There is no evidence, from peer-reviewed randomized clinical trials, that taking ivermectin is aiding in the recovery from covid.  If ivermectin isn't useful, then expending money and hospital staff time on administering it, when other measures ACTUALLY ARE EFFECTIVE, then that money and staff time should be shifted to the other measures.

Some people have taken meth smoked crack and watched Tucker Carlson and recovered from Covid.

That does not demonstrate causality or make any of that shit a good idea.
